This is all my brothers fault! He's the one doing the genealogy.... He's traced our family Back to 1635 in Germany on my mothers side, and to WASHINGTON and MADISON on my fathers side. |
I made the mistake of going for a ride with him one day on a visit to Kansas.... ended up taking 360 pictures for a little(?) cemetery in JACKSON CO, KA (including the new CEMETERY PHOTO,.... and I hate Cemetery photos!!). Since then, I have done 50 complete Cemeteries, Including adding new ones in the State of Iowa, and Chippewa, Grant, Rock & Iowa(2) Counties in WI. and Thunder Bay, Ontario. I'm currently working on 18 in Wisconsin.
As corrections and additions are an important part of FAG, please send all SAC's you have using the EDIT button on the memorial [with 50cemeteries & 17,000+ entries, I don't wish to chase names].
You may use the photos I've posted for your own personal use. Please follow the FAG guidelines regarding credit, etc.
Do not ask for transfers if you are merely "COLLECTING" (IE you have 344 entries, but are "managing" 1250, particularly if you can't even link husband and wives between the memorials that you are managing!) That's what virtual cemeteries are for. Please state your relationship and Number in the SAC when requesting a transfer. If you can't put the relationship in words, perhaps I should retain management of the memorial until someone more closely related requests it. I'm looking for an exact relationship, not "my great-grandmother was a Smith". (If you want management simply to consolidate your relatives, take a look at Virtual Cemeteries as a way to do this.) PLEASE DON'T INSULT ME BY SAYING THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD DATA!
I am also now trying to research and add more Bio information for my entries. I have four cemeteries photoed that were done by "inactive" contributors, and expect to get many more transfers to make the BIO corrections and complete the missing links.
My real job is to watch over MY 400+ year old oak, a "Heritage" tree, 16+ feet around. It's one of 7 over 10 feet in circumference on the farm.

Thank you for updating Kirk's memorial and sharing his obituary.
You might want to ask to have Memorial# 7753475 transferred to you. Looks like others in this cemetery already were - perhaps Memorial# 7753475 was missed.

Thank you. I have your name on the cemetery. I'm hoping to get to Find A Grave for the transfers this weekend. If you find any others, let me know and watch the Profile Page as I update it.

Thanks for fulfilling that photo request for young Levi Reeves (10 years old). And thanks for all the great photos you've been adding to memorials in this cemetery. Great work!
Thanks for the spouse link for Memorial# 71240052 - and what a great photo too!

YOU seem to be on top of things in Wisconsin. My Great Grandfather Samuel and his wife Mary had a daughter Ida who died about 1908-1909 she would have been about 10 years old I think she may be buried near her parents as they lived in The Village of Couderay. on the 1910 census. Sam was a saloon keeper He died in 1914. They also has a daughter in law named Ida Cornman who died in 1912. I think she died in child birth as she had a son born in Feb 1912. I know you have snow and cold weather there so put in on your back burner.. Have a nice day
