I am a native of Green Bay where my family ancestry dates back to the early 1840s. My hobbies are photography and historic preservation, and I am a member of the Bay Area Genealogy Society. I have been photographing grave sites at Allouez Catholic Cemetery for nearly 50 years.|
I fulfill photo requests mainly for Allouez Catholic Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum. Photos are taken professionally with a NIKON camera (never with a cell phone camera). I take the time to wait for the right weather and lighting, remove debris from around the monument and take the very best photo possible. I do not tarnish the peaceful beauty or disturb the reverence of the grave site by adding dates, times or any other text to my photos, and you will never see my reflection in the monument or my shadow over the grave site or monument. Each photo is a work of art and labor of love done with as much respect for your family member as I would want for my own.
Whenever possible I will post two photos, one from a distance, and one that is close-up of the memorial monument or crypt front. If there is a Military/Veteran's monument present, I will add a photo of that, also.
TRANSFERS, CORRECTIONS, LINK REQUESTS: Please make any transfer requests, corrections, or family linkage requests via the Edit tab on the memorial and include the profile number in your request. I will be happy to transfer management of a profile if I am not a relative of the deceased.
PLEASE NOTE: I generally photograph grave sites from May to November to capture the most visually pleasing photos for you. Photographs of grave sites taken in Winter will be replaced with photos taken in the Spring, Summer or Fall.
THANK YOU to all who've kindly submitted edits or transfers. And to those of you that understand it's not about taking the most photos or getting the most thank you notes, that there is so much more to taking a photo than "point and click" and have contacted me directly with your requests for grave site photos, I appreciate your confidence in me.
PERSONAL PEEVES: (1) Please call it what it is. It is NOT a tombstone, not a headstone, not a marker, it is a MEMORIAL MONUMENT.
(2) Unnecessary close-up photos of names/dates. Find A Grave allows you to click on each photo to enlarge it up to three times, so it is a waste of time and profile space to add a close-up of the engraved name and dates. Some on Find A Grave do this, and it just takes up limited space you could use to add photos of the deceased or other memorabilia. You can only add five photos or other memorabilia before you have to pay Find A Grave to add more.

You're a hardy soul; tromping around in the snow to take a grave marker picture. Thank you very much. It looks great.

Thank you. I was hoping it had her husbands name on it.

Thanks Jeanne for the photos. I see the year of death for Harvey on the stone is 1977. That is what I had in my records, but Daniel noted it as 1970. Good to have the verification. It may be you who has the request to update this memorial, Thanks again. And good thing the snow stopped, almost covers the dates. That would be great to have photos with green grass!

I am not related to John and Mary (Mamie) Queoff. Mary, wife of Michael, was a cousin of my Grandfather. Her maiden name was Klarkowski.
I also for got to thank you for the photo of the area surrounding their memorials. Many times other family members will be close and I have found them because of pictures like this.
Your photos are always high quality. I know from times I have photographed some memorials, it is not always easy to avoid a shadow.
