|455th AAA Historian||James Albert 'Jimmy' Brown|
Is this the SSgt. James A. Brown, ser. no. 6994332, Bronze Star recipient, who served in the 455th AAA Bn., Patton's Third Army in Europe??? He lived at 2606 Bowman St. NW, Roanoke, VA. in his later days, I believe. I am the historian of the unit and am trying to determine if this is our 'lost' member.

Thank you for entering her information onto this site. Would you happen to know if the list of all interred at this cemetery is current?
The reason I ask is I was told that her parents, Mae & Lillard Lester, and at least one of her brothers, Quinten, is buried there also. They don't seem to come up in my search.
Thanks once again for Jean's information and any help you can give me with the rest of our family.

|On the Trail||John Ginn # 32269170|
Is this the John H Ginn who served as a Private in Company D "Danielsville Guard" 16th Regiment Georgia Volunteer Infantry? Company D was organized at Danilesvile GA and I noticed this John Ginn's mother died in GA.
If you are kin to him, and were aware that he served, then you are probably aware of the history of this Regiment. If not, feel free to contact me for a full account of their engagements. It seems this Regiment was involved in most every major battle of the Eastern theater (and some of the west) usually in the worst possible places.
If this John Ginn is the same as John H Ginn, he enlisted Aug 5 1861 at Danielsville Madison County GA by Capt Montgomery for the "war." He was hospitalized in Richmond for Rheumatism in 1862. He was wounded near Fredericksburg Dec 11-13, 1862 and he was killed at the Battle of the Wilderness May 6 1864.
Appears on a list of casualties, in McLaws Division, in the battles before Fredericksburg Va Dec 11-13, 1862
List dated near Fredericksburg, Va Dec 18, 1862

PLease let me know one way or another. I am compiling a virtual cemetery of the entire 16th Regiment and so far have located and linked over 640 of its members. Also feel free to contact me if you'd like more information.

|Angela Stewart||Saying hello to family|
My name is Angela Dawn (Sheffield) Stewart. Thomas Ross Shepherd and Hattie Eva (Kersey) Shepherd were my grandparents. My mother is Alva Elaine (Shepherd) Sheffield (Lonnie W. Sheffield,Sr.), next to the youngest of the living children. I just wanted to say hello and let you know I'm on find a grave too. I also wanted to thank you for putting these up of my grandparents. I loved granny dearly and wish I could have known grandpa. If you'd like to visit our website, I'm doing mine and my husband's genealogy history at the link below. I am also on ancestry.com as ads35298. If you'd like to exchange information, please let me know and I'll be glad to chat with you. God bless and have a great day!
You have posted quite a few Brown obits that are in my line back to the Paynes from Franklin County.
Do you happen to know where Milton H. Taylor is buried? His dau. Martha Ann was 2nd wife of Ace Alexander Brown.
Did not find him on findagrave, but I'm sure it would be Franklin County, GA.
Many thanks for any help you can provide.

I can't believe people can be so rude. They should be greatful someone took the time to put a love one's memorial on here. Once you put pictures in a newspaper; it is public, HELLO!
|Nina Migneco||Robert Lee Smallwood|
Randy, do you know my husband? He never mentioned you and being Robert's wife of 18 years, I'm not familiar with you either, nor do I appreciate someone using MY WRITING
and my picture of Robert without my permission. THIS WAS NOT created by you. This obit took me hours and many tears. I've been through enough with his death and wish for his memory and for our family to be fully respected.
