I have only worked on my own family's genealogy for the last 15 years. Computer's were slow, names were incorrect or I would have had answers long ago. It has been a great joy. I helped a girl find her husbands cousin years ago merely by accident. I have tried to help all those I could. Mostly others have helped me greatly. So for everyone who helps someone else freely I salute you!
For those who reach out to someone else making their dreams come true are angels from heaven.
I can only dream of helping someone in this way.
Recently an French woman came to my rescue and not only gave me my Italian papers on my ancestors, she gave to me my dream of finding live relatives whom I now love dearly. So I say to everyone who is into Genealogy to never give up because someday your impossible dreams may just come true for you.
And before those of you get married check out your genealogy...back in the days of my ancestors (in Italy) they were marrying cousins and so forth to keep the land deeds in the same families. My own aunt in the US married my uncle and didn't know he was a distant cousin! And land sakes you sure don't want to end up marrying any closer relatives than that!!!
God bless everyone who is searching for their past because sometimes it can change their whole future as it has done mine!
I am enjoying my new relatives so much it brings me great joy each time I hear from them.
I hope now to again help someone in some way.
