You've done a great job on the site for Josie. Thank you for all the effort you have put in and then topping it with your generosity to transfer. You make a great FindAGrave volunteer. Thanks for being a great example! Be blessed as you definitely are a blessing!

Hall memorials
Hello Vivian, Jut ran across the memorials for Halls which you have added in the Blanco Cemetery in De Baca Co., New Mexico. I was wondering if you have family ties to the Atlas Hall (memorial #10342134) also in this cemetery. I am a Hall family researcher and would love to exchange Hall information with you.

Good grief ... that was a BIG typo. Not sure where the 1904 came from. It should have been 1874!

Well, don't worry about it if you aren't really handy to the cemetery after all. I'll contact the County Clerk's office in Curry County and see what they might be able to tell me. (I hope they were keeping death records in 1908!)

Thanks for responding so quickly! If I learn more through the County Clerk's office that would lead to any editing on that memorial, I'll let you know!

Memorial for C. V. Searcy, Grady Cemetery
I was really startled today to spot your memorial for C. V. Searcy, wife of J. A. Searcy.

Have long been searching for the actual death and burial place of a great aunt, Geneva Viola Nixon Searcy, who (unproven yet) died, giving birth to a stillborn baby, in Ellis County, Texas 29 Jul 1907. She was born 10 Dec 1904 and was living in Ellis County, Texas in 1900.

There are such close similarities in all the information on the tombstone (date-wise, and we all know how those date can be "off" if a grieving spouse is providing the details. From what I can make out on the tombstone photo, it appears possible that the letter C could actually be the letter G.

My wild imagination has the little family (J.A. Searcy was a farmer) going to New Mexico in search of more land to farm... etc. If you live there in Grady (it appears you've done a lot of work in that cemetery!) would it be possible for you to look personally at that monument to be sure whether the engraved name is C. V. or
G. V.? The possibility is very exciting to me, and I know I'm grasping at straws, but ... Would appreciate this if it's at all possible for you to do it! (I'm stuck here in Austin, Texas, or I'd drive over to the cemetery myself)
