I am a resident of Somerset County, PA and started this adventure with researching genealogy for my family, this led me to searching for family members headstones to add to my research files. A posting on a forum page led me here and it was been fun surveying my local graveyards and taking pictures. Now my family thinks I'm a total nut. Oh well, here are the fruits of my labors to share with you all.|
As it is labor intensive to take the time and take the pictures, make the name and info lists, and then post the pictures, I ask that you respect my photos and not steal copies of them from here. I retain all copyrights to these photos and will remove them if I find they are being used inappropriately without explicit written permission from me.

|Bob Farmer||RE: Frances Hershberger|
Back in 2012, you sent me a message asking if I wanted to have custody of Frances Hershberger's web page. I just discovered this message and am sorry that I am so late in responding to you. Yes, I will be willing to take charge of her web page, if you don't mind.

I have put her 27 memorials into a virtual cemetery so they can be quickly located and will be contacting one of the admins to have them merged into the originals in the correct cemetery. I will also get her main cemetery photos moved to the correct place. I will let you know when it is done.

I visited the page you entered for the Hershberger Cemetery on the advice of a third party who told me about the mass of duplicates accidentally created by Ancestor Searcher, who placed all the memorials in the incorrect cemetery. I see in your note on the page that you are attempting to get this corrected. I am hoping we can coordinate on this, as I am the creator of the original memorials (in the other cemetery) that have now been duped. Some of those memorials I created have photos added by others, a few have moderately extensive bios that I have added, many have links. If AS's memorials get moved there (as they should be) there will be a ton of dupes that need to be either removed or in some cases merged. Some of her photos are for memorials that do not yet have photos on the originals so merges there would be of great value. I would be very grateful if you could keep me in the loop as to what is happening as you work to get this corrected, since I put a fair amount of my time and effort into adding the originals added back in 2006.

Undertaker J. L. Tressler brought the body to Meyersdale and prepared it for
burial, and removed it to the home of his son, William Harding, on Keystone
