Lucy Yarbrough Harris
Received your message, asking about children of Lucy Harris. I have added a list of known children of Lucy and Joe Harris that I have to Lucy's memorial on Although the last child in 1910 census records is listed as Joe A. Harris, Female born about 1907 in Montgomery county, tn. I don't know if this helps you or not. I don't know what happened to most of the children. Please let me know if this helps.

RE: Jasper Beauchamp
Hi Deena,
It's great to hear from you. I have yet to make it up to Dodge Co, but I would imagine that James and Angelina Steward would have a marker.

There have been a lot of theories about Abisha Fowler and who she was the mother of. We know that she was born about 1779 based on census records, and died after 1830. The last child she was supposed to have with John Beauchamp was a female born about 1810, and census records confirm that in 1820 (Gwinnett Co. Census) they had:
2 m 10-15
1 m 16-18
1 m 6-25
1 m 26-44 John

1 f 0-10
1 f 16-26
1 f 26-44 Abisha

On the 1830 census there are

1 m 40-49 John
1 f 20-29 daughter born about 1810
1 f 40-49 Abisha

John is of course remarried to Nancy Wade on the 1840 census.

So if you believe that Jasper was Abisha's son you have to believe that she had him 28 years after she stopped having children and was almost 58 years old.

We know the approximate date of Abisha's birth based on her sibling's births and her fathers will.

My money is on him being Nancy Wade's son :-)

Hope this helps!

I have linked her to her parents John Thomas & Martha Hicks DeVane.

Thank you for the information.

Are you related to this person? If so would you like ownership?

Callie Cadwell Beauchamp
Not listed in Dodge Cemetery books. Was maiden name Cadwell?
Do you know who her parents were and possibly where buried?
She had son J.D. Beauchamp. Do you know if this was Dewey Beauchamp who was Ga. Forestry Ranger for Dodge county? If so he had daughter ,Ruth, who I think is still living. If so I will call her and see if she has info.

RE: Jasper Beauchamp
Hi Deena,
Nice to meet you also!
I think the 1840 census was just wrong. Nancy was born in 1820. Jasper was her eldest child and he and my gg-grandmother Angelina were full siblings. I had the benefit of having a grandmother who grew up with her and knew her and most of her (Angelina's) siblings very well.
If you would like I would be glad to e-mail you an Ancestry invite for my tree and you can take a look. You are more than welcome to copy any info or photos.

Would love to take a trip to Dodge Co. one of these days. I moved to Pensacola Florida from Wyoming a couple of years ago and am not that far a drive from there. I have never been able to get any grave photos of Angelina and her husband James Elsberry Steward. They are buried in Orphans Cemetery in Eastman. If I make it up that way I will take lot's of photos and post them.

RE: Hinkston Church Cemetery
Kentucky Cemetery Records is the name of the book with the various cemeteries. I don't see one in here for Peyton's Lick. These were walked back in 1958ish. I would assume that there was a church named Hinkston??? There are several Peytons in this book, (not in this cemetery). I know that all cemeteries aren't listed. There is a Scobee cemetery in Clark Co. that isn't mentioned. (Which is why I checked out the book)
There is 1 more Richart listed, this one in Owingsville Cemetery, in Bath County.
Mary Thomas Richart Jan 30, 1821-June 19, 1929. Was the name ever changed to Richard or Richards? There are some of those here.
I don't know if the name was ever changed. I can't imagine they would change the name of a church, but one never knows.
