Hi, I am a native of Bay City, TX. My main cemeteries that I take pictures at are: Cedarvale-Bay City Cemetery, Roselawn in Van Vleck (in process of documenting the whole cemetery), Historical Matagorda Cemetery in Matagorda, Eastview in Bay City and Hawley in El Maton. I am also a member of the Matagorda Co. Genealogy Society and the Matagorda County Historical Commission. SO...any pictures that I take will also appear in the TXGENWEB--Matagorda Co. (which is a great place to find interesting facts about Matagorda County.)|
Thanks to everyone who submits information, but. . .please do not place copies of death certificates on memorials. This information can be typed into bios and leaves room for photographs.
I enjoy the search and challenge of finding the graves. Photo requests get my highest priority. When I go out to fulfill a photo request, I photograph all the markers in the family plot. The rules I follow; "Photograph the grave/gravesite "in-situ", or as it appears in that moment in time. The purpose is to show the grave as it is, be it dirty, cluttered, broken, or pristine. It is not your job to clean it, clear it, fix it, or decorate it. The graves are not yours to do as you please. Remember, one person's "good deed" just might be another person's vandalism. Go take lots of photos...but do it like an anthropologist and do not disturb the grave site. -AJ" Mar. 10, 2013
If I can be of any assistance, please contact me. Blessings...Prissy53

Hello. I have pictures of Margaret Maurine Harmon as well as ancestry details. Can you transfer to me for changes? Or, if you prefer, I can send you the information and you can upload it.
I have placed a photo request for her grave and would like to say thank you in advance.

Hello. Would you please connect the above to his father, Richard Thomas Sirmon, #20483254?
Thanks so much.

Thanks so much for the photo for their graves. She is my 5th cousin and headstone photos are the only photos I have for much of my family.
Volunteers are what make this website such a valuable resource or family research.

Thank you for filling me in as the source of information about this grave site. I really appreciate it. I would also appreciate having the page management transferred to me. He was my grandfather's only sibling, and he has no descendants. Thank you for all your efforts.

Thank you so much for creating a page for my great uncle William Paul Palmer's grave site in the Cedarvale Bay City Cemetery (Find A Grave Memorial# 154464637). When I made a photo request suggesting that I thought W.P. Palmer's grave would be close to his first wife's tombstone (Bess Amelia Palmer - Find A Grave Memorial# 154464580), I received a message saying that the tombstone was not located. Do you have any information that would help me understand whether there is a tombstone for William Paul Palmer or not? And if there is no tombstone for him, how you determined that he was buried in this cemetery. I am grateful for any information you might have to share. I sincerely appreciate all that you have done already to help further my understanding of this part of my family.
