Bio and Links
Bio Photo When I joined Find a Grave it was a good website where a person could find and connect to their past without having to pay an annual fee. As I searched other volunteers home pages, I would read in their bios how they too expressed their support for the website and how it helped them to find a love one. On certain occasions though, I would come across a bio in which the volunteer didn't write a bio about themselves, but they expressed anger about the neglect of other individuals who didn't abide by the website rules. As I continued to read the bio, I wondered why they would choose to express their anger and frustration rather than write something good about themselves. Well after many years of contributing memorials, photos, and flowers, I know now why they wrote those angry words. I have come to realize that when a website offers free membership, it opens the door to every idiot who has nothing better to do than to create frustration and tension for other people. If these trouble causing individuals were forced to pay an annual fee, I believe they would think twice about wasting their money on creating aggravation for other individuals. I am changing my policy, and will be a STRICT keeper of the Find a Grave Rules. This means: Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be YOUR siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. If you don't understand this, then go find someone who does understand this statement and can explain it to you. There are many of my relatives memorials that I don't manage and I am quite happy to leave them in the hands of other people. If there is something I want added to the memorial I click the EDIT tab and make my request. This is the correct, by the rules, way for this website. If this rule is not followed, then when I receive your email/request, I will list it as spam and it will be deleted.
Another rule I have found that volunteers are breaking is the photo copyright rule. You CANNOT claim a photo you DID NOT TAKE. I have found many of my photos being copied and pasted on other memorials. This is a serious rule infraction. REMEMBER, IF YOU DIDN'T TAKE THE PICTURE.....DON'T TAKE CREDIT FOR THE PICTURE! Ask for permission.
Finally, Be accurate with your information. When photo volunteers go out to fill a photo request, they are taking their time and money to get you that photo. Don't just put someone in a cemetery because it seems like the right one. Take the time to do some research and get confirmation before you list a memorial. Be Considerate!

There are certain individuals out there (and you know who your are) who have caused me to take these measures and unfortunately for the innocent, I'm sorry but things have changed.

Wellmon Wright#69490590
A record you created Wellmon Wright of the Swainsboro City Cemetery is the husband of an ancestor of mine. I was wondering why his wife Charlie Mae Wright who died Jan. 10, 2001 and who was also buried in the Swainsboro City Cemetery was not also listed on Find A Grave?

Trooper Lindsey O Renfroe

If it's possible could you transferred the memorial of Lindsay O Renfroe # 70149516 to us. He was a veteran with our organization in World War 1. For the centennial of the World War we are trying to bring together all of the Trooper of that era. Much Thanks in advance.

Would you please transfer Daniel L. Lastinger Find A Grave#51358111 to me? He is my great grandfather. Thank you for all the work you have done.

I was looking at your profile and saw this. You can add Samuel Lamar Miller Jr. Find A Grave Memorial# 110998525. He was also from Laurens Co. and died in FT Delaware prison. His page has his details.

What are you guide lines for whom to add? I have a LOT of relatives from the CW from Ga! Some (MOST) are buried other states. Many do not have Find A Grave pages. I was keeping a list of all of them but when it got to be over a few hundred I gave up!

Gloria McDaniel Miller
PS: Gloria's full name was Betty Gloria McDaniel (Miller). Her husband was Steve Miller. AFIK he is still alive.

Gloria was my first cousin. She was killed in an auto accident in 1968. Here are links to her parents if you want to add them. Betty Francis Coleman (Find A Grave Memorial# 27830080) and her husband Douglas McDaniel is Find A Grave Memorial# 11867284.

Memorial # 77882026 Wendell Coye James
Could the death date of Wendell Coye James be incorrect? I found an obituary for Wendell Coye James on Spirit Newspapers
which indicates that he just passed away. Studying the obit, it is the same man (same parents).

Please read you bio again and reconsider.

After 20 years in the Navy, I personally deplore rules! Especially those that have no bearing on anyone's personal status one way or another, or the rule, if broken, just doesn't matter. I do understand your frustration with many of those 'idiots' and I too have had a few nasty comments for them in return. However, Please don't let a few bad folks destroy your good work and intent. I really don't have any problem with anyone that wants to keep their posts,as long as they are willing to keep my kinfolks current with as much info that's available. I have chosen to transfer "out of guidelines" anytime the requester is courteous.

Life's too short to worry about what other people think or do if you have no control over them. Let them rant, at least YOUR Blood pressure won't go thru the roof.

Have a safe, and wonderful day, and just chill out.
