Bio and Links
Bio Photo Retired public relations executive, inspector, newspaper columnist, fine arts artist, short story writer, "Ghost writer" and author of more than 35 books, including CHEESMAN FAMILY HERITAGE, The CHEESMAN DOSSIER, CHEESMAN DOSSIER II: RELATED FAMILIES, and The ILLUSTRATED GARDEN OF STONES Cemetery Book series.
It's difficult to read many old burialstones, depending on the style and technique of the stone engraver, or simply depending on age, wear and mother nature... an 8 might be taken for a 3, or a 5 might be mistaken for a 6, among other numeral combinations. Also bear in mind that some stone carvers have made mistakes because the written material for them to inscribe from was not always clear or legible.
If I am found to have misread a monument, let me know and I will promptly correct it as soon as I am able. Except for the cemeteries that I've worked on and have written about, my primary focus is on Cheeseman - Cheesman - Chessman and all variations of the surname, people related and associated to these families, and their their close friends.
I usually go on-line about once a month more or or less... Quite frankly, I don't trust or really care for computers because of so much misinformation, dirt, viruses and trechery that's commonly posted on them. Find-a-grave is one of the very few sites that I trust and go on.
I am certainly and genuinely always happy to hear from relatives and friends, and will try to respond to inquries as soon it is possible.
Your thoughts and messages are important to me, but I am slow at times, so please be patience.

Surnames that I am primarily focused on for a new book in progress:
Augastat / Augustat, Baker, Bernabe, Besser, Cheesman / Cheeseman / Cheseman, Chesman / Chessman, / Chisman, Clark, Cox, Cupps, Friar / Fryer, Hedger, Herrin / Herring / Heron, Hughes, LaHa, Laundry / Landrie, Orcutt, Plough, Sexton, Thornburg / Thornburgh, Valentine, Willson / Wilson.

Associated surnames; Brennecke, De Floris, Pellizzaro, Ramos, Renaud, Somogyi, Stachowski / Stackowski, among others.

FREDERICK LOUIS CHEESMAN
My name is Kathy Pearson, My great aunt on my mothers side was married to Frederick Louis Cheesman. In your writings you show that he died in 1925 but as of August 14. 2016 at the age of 92, he was very much alive and kicking at our Moore family reunion. He is the son of Carl Wallace and Rebecca Madge (Hadley) Cheesman, Born January 3, 1924. He married Mable Virginia Moore, October 20, 1951 in Noblesville, Indiana. She passed away February 4, 2013 in Muncie, Indiana. He has two sons: Frederick Jr., born May 11, 1952 and Douglas Keith Cheesman, born October 16, 1955. I do have pictures of him and my great aunt if you would like to see them. You can e-mail me at: oldtrailertrash@yahoo.com Thank you for your time,
Kathy

Thank you so much, although that was not my intention. I did some research in Lafayette a few weeks ago, and finally found her d.o.d.! I accept and thank you so much for all you've done and do for findagrave! Hope you are well.

Crockett Gravestones
Dear Mr. Cheesman-

I believe I have found a problem with your gravestone photos at Crockett Cemetery. Your photos are very nice, but the burial list shows the graves as unphotographed. For obvious reasons, I do not have privileges to change your contributions.

I *think* what happened is that your gravestone photos were uploaded to findagrave as cemetery or some other kind of pictures, but not grave pictures. Unless "Grave" is chosen from the menu during upload, I don't think the system tags it as a gravestone and so lists the grave as unphotographed.

What I am doing is NOT to replace your fine work. In fact, it appears you cleaned some stones before photographing, or the last 10-15 years have been unkind to the stones. I simply wish findagrave to list them as photographed. As the original contributor, if you have tools to recategorize your gravestone photos as graves, then please do that!

Thank you for your many, many contributions to the findagrave project.

Marcus Beers - Douglas S. Cheeseman
In the 1910 Census Records, Marcus Beers is living in the household of Douglass S. & Nellie M. (Colin) Cheeseman.

Do you have any information indicating if they were related and, if so, how were they related?

Do you have any information on Marcus Beers (b. 1820; d. 1830) - children, siblings, parents?
