Born and raised in Arkansas and now live in Olive Branch, MS.I have been doing genealogy for several years now. Anytime I am out wondering through a cemetery/taking photos, I take photos of as many graves as possible. In hopes of helping someone out there find their families. I know what its like to hit that brick wall. Hope my postings have helped some of you.|

Ms. Payne was my teacher in the 2nd grade at Olive Branch Elementary School and taught at the school for many years. She was a wonderful, sweet lady, and an excellent instructor. After her death, it is my understanding that her family discovered her house was full of genealogical research that she had performed. To my knowledge, she never married. Instead she devoted most of her life to teaching young children and to preserving history. If possible, I would like for this biological information to be added at her memorial. Thanks.
Margaret, thank you so much for transferring my g-grandparents. You are encouraging me to go to the historic cemetery in my neighborhood and "pay it forward". All the best in the New Year!! - albion22

Most of my family on my mothers side are buried at the May Cemetery. Sadly most recently, my uncle, James Martin Frost. He passed last winter, after a long battle with illness.
My daughter was in from Louisiana last month, and visited our little section of the cemetery on her way home. She is the youngest person in our family who can remember Gramma Mae Maxwell. It made her sad to think that two generations from our five generation photo are now gone.
Ah, but we all get older...now I have grandkids running amok! Life is wonderful.
