I have always been facinated by cemeteries. I grew up across the street from a large cemetery in Hot Springs, Arkansas and would spend my summer afternoons wondering through the graves admiring the unique headstones. This love has followed me to adulthood as I travel with my job and prefer to pack a lunch and find a lovely cemetery to eat at and wander through than to eat in a restaurant. I just recently found Find A Grave when I began doing genealogy research. I was so touched to see that someone had been sweet and taken a photo of my baby girl's headstone and realized what a wonderful way to be productive when traveling Arkansas and enjoying my lunches and cemeteries.|
I give my permission for family members to use the pictures of headstones that I have taken. I keep all of my pictures and will be happy to provide a high resolution picture through email.

Dear Freida Karen,
While working an unconnected Dellinger branch in Virginia, I came across John & Drisilla and when I read the updated Contributor bio of JMB.
She has post notification that should anyone be interested in any Transfers, they should use the Edit/Correction system to request same. As they are 2nd cousins 5x removed of yours, I thought you may be interested in taking over the care of their memorials. :-)
Always, in F-A-G brother/sisterhood,

I believe you have Zan Pierce Jr's wife down for Zan Pierce SR. This is in the Rash Cemetery in Arkansas.

|Cissy Flew Nichols||Clement Herman Henry Taphorn|
Clement Herman Henry Taphorn is my Great-Great Grandfather. I would love to exchange any info on him and his family. To be truthful, I have very little info on the Taphorns. Ernest Taphorn is my Great Grandfather. Clemons Henry is my Grandfather and his daughter, Evelyn Louise Taphorn is my mother. Thank you in advance. Cissy Flew Nichols

I was wondering if you could go to Mount Olive Cemetery in Bauxite and photograph the headstone of my Mom and post it to find a grave... It is located next to the graves of Orbery &Lois Childress large grey marker with Thompson on the back and on the front it has daisies on it.

Thank you for transferring Alberta Harris to me.
|Barbara (Feldkamp) Burns||Frank Gwisdalla|
I think you have Frank Gwisdalla posted in the wrong cemetery. He is at the St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery in Parisville, Huron Co., Michigan Please check this out (read the obit that you have posted) and change to the correct cemetery. Thank you
|Janet Mackey-Bodine||Irene Bodine|
I am writing once again to request that you please delete your memorial page # 109318149 for Irene Bodine. I assure you that there has been some sort of error for the identification or for the dates in the newspaper obituary which you have posted, because the Irene Bodine (her full name was Marguerite Irene Bodine) who was indeed the daughter of Manford "Paddy" and Gertrude (Lewsader) Bodine passed away on October 28, 1963. She helped raise my husband, who was born in 1951, so it is impossible that she would have been the individual who died in 1932. Below is a copy of her correct obituary. Thank you so much.
Obituary read: "Miss Irene Bodine, 47, who resided with her brother, Marvin, on Covington, Route 3, died at 9:40 a.m. Monday (October 28, 1963) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. She had been admitted about an hour and a half earlier following a heart attack.
Miss Bodine was well known in the area as a pianist, having played with several dance bands. She was a life resident of Wabash Township. Born November 13, 1915, near Covington, she was the daughter of Manford (Paddy) and Gertrude Lewader Bodine. She had been crippled since infancy and was a member of the McClain Club for Cripples at St. Louis, Missouri, and the Wabash Township Birthday Club.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Kathryn (Kate) Rennick and Mrs. Lura Smith, both of Covington, and two brothers, Marvin and Harold of W. Chicago. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Leon.
Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Thursday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Alfred Dobbs will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Tuesday." - Commerical News, Danville, Illinois
