I enjoy family tree research. Many of my more recent ancestors came from Indiana and Illinois. I have travelled to Anna, Union Co., Illinois on several occasions taking photos. On my last trip, we found what my family called the Benjamin Vancil Cemetery on the old Vancil homestead. There is no sign identifying the cemetery, but it was found through research and the kind help of the current owners of the land.|
That was very exciting for me. I was pleased that the stones were still in place, even though mostly illegible.
I hope to travel again and find more cemeteries and family markers.

Ops! I must have being "burying" people late at night (early in the morning)!!
I haven't been to the cemetery. Someone in the area went and looked for me. He is listed as being buried there also with his son Daniel. Daniel Sr has no marker.
Hope this helps!!

Thank you, thank you! Pam

Thank you for posting the photo of the marker for Singleton Earp and his first wife, Rebecca Herrin. Singleton was my 3rd great grandfather and after his first wife died he married my 3rd great grandmother, Hannah Brinson on April 15, 1831. She is buried next to Singleton and Rebecca in the Erp Cemetery. Since Hannah doesn't have a Find a Grave identification number, I wasn't sure how to add her name and the picture I have of her marker.
I noted someone looking for the grave of Josiah Earp. I wonder if he might be in the Rock Lick Baptist Church Cemetery in Pulaski County. Only a fraction (59%) of the graves have been listed.
Thanks for your work! Pam Jamison

I'am guessing he's buried at Earp Family cemetery
where's there a few unmarked graves. It may be hard to prove. I'am a member of Sons of American Revolution & I would love to get his grave marked by the S.A.R.

Hank you for this picture. This man was my father but I never knew him or his family. The search process is slow but this is a beginning. Thank you for your help.

You could send a Suggest a Correction to the person to have it removed. Is it listed in the cemetery the death record states?
