RE: Oneta Steidley

The cemetery staff finally found your mom's information under Payne! I asked them to change it to Steidley so others can find her in the future, hope that was okay! PLEASE note her burial information on her memorial page : Section Garden "O" plot 21 space 7.

RE: Oneta Steidley

I was at the cemetery today and I asked them to look under Lonnie Steidley and also under Blansett but of course no luck. When I go back I will try again with the name Payne.

RE: Mary Ann Underdown
Yes. Mary Ann Underdown's Father was Pleasant Lee Underdown (13 May 1826 - 12 Apr 1881) He was married to Mary Madgalene Bales (1832-1901) Pleasant Lee was a soldier in the Civil War. He was in his Brother's Company -- Company K. 2nd East Tennessee Infantry (USA) Brother was Captain Joseph Dickson Underdown. They were sons of Stephen A Underdown 1794-1865 who ran a Ferry business on the French Broad River. Pleasant came down with Tuberculous during the war so they left their home in Sevier County Tennessee and moved to Boone County, Arkansas around 1870. I read somewhere Pleasant was a farmer and had peach orchard among other thing.
