Son of Willie V "Bill" Hightower and Lela Mae Eller. I am 65 years of age and married to my lovely wife Joyce. We have two children and two grandchildren. I am also a direct descendant of Milam Lafayette Rush who died in the Mountain Meadows Massacre on September 11, 1857 in southern Utah. I am researching the families of: Hightower, Rush, Mounce, Deatherage, Eller & Isbell.|

|Jamie Stone||RE: James Lazerus Brown & Louisa Catherine Rush Brown|
Hello Billy, to be honest, I'm not quite sure that we have the same people. Of course I know of James L. Brown, as he's my 3rd great grandfather, but census records all indicate that he was born on March 21st of 1823, rather than an estimated date of 1835. Also, contrary to the death date listed on the tomb stone, he supposedly died on February 21st, 1878. However, it cannot be proven, and is likely false due to a picture that I found of a grown up Emanuel Brown (born 1874) sitting with his father, James L. Brown. So it seems to be impossible that he died during that date. I've never heard of a Louisa Catherine Rush Brown, but could you send me documentation that supports that they married in 1888? I have James Brown being married to a woman named Lucy Hughes (1832-1877) apparently married on December 21st of 1853. (Though, there are no sources supporting that this is when the marriage was - yet - the death date, birth date, and marriage date would indeed make sense as there were no children after the late 1870s.
I don't know of a Cora Latta, but I'm sure that she's related somehow due to her last name and Emanuel marrying into the Latta family.
Posting the photos was my pleasure, and now it seems that there are more questions unanswered than answered! Sorry about that. :)
William A Bradford was born 17 Jun 1832 in Jackson County Georgia. He served in the 36th AR Infantry and died 4 Feb 1865 at Camp Lee in Minden LA. He was the son of William B Bradford (born 1779 NC and died 1863 in Van Buren County AR). Three of his brothers: James, Howard, and Zilman also died in the war effort. With respect William and Louisa's children, Margaret married James Duncan, Nancy married George Stephens, John died in 1870, Fannie Jane married Lewis Carter, and Stacy married John Ragsdale. Fannie Jane Carter's death certificate states that he mother was Eliza Maddox.
Billy thank you so much for thinking of my sister Linda. I just discovered this site and so grateful to see her picture and flowers. Love Pamela Cleere

I am going to ask you a question about this lady.
Where is she buried & question 2 is did she remarry?
|Michael Rowe||RE: Chester & Jennie Rowe|
Sorry, but no records of any Chester Rowe's in my family.
I am a descendant of William Henry Rowe (buried in Pioneer Cemetery in Watsonville, CA), there are links to all know Rowe's that are descended from him.

Hi Billy, I had originally tried to cut and paste it and send it that way to you but, it wouldn't let me do it. I not a computer geek, but I will try some different ways to send it. If not, I will just transcribe the whole thing and send it to you.
I don't have a Garret in my tree, but I'll do some checking...I might and just not know it yet.
