RE: William Tyner
Are you also a descendant of William? He's my gr gr gr gr grandfather through his daughter Mary Ann who married William Martin. Hope you don't mind that I posted a photo of his church. He's a legend in our part of the state due to the number of little Baptist churches he started, including Big Cedar. That building has also been preserved, although it isn't active anymore. They have a homecoming every June with a church service. He seems to have been quite a guy! Donna

I just added a photo of the marker for Mary Holley (Hawkins Cemetery, Fulton county, OH) and noticed you had left a comment. I am very curious about the three Cs on her gravestone. Since you are apparently a relative, I wonder if you have any insight? Just curious, but might be an interesting tidbit to leave on her site.

Just a fellow cemetery hound...

Joseph Goudie # 93224500
Hi Tom, Thanks for adding the picture of Joseph Goudie. Was Joseph a son of James B. Goudie # 14667275 and Mary Goudie # 14667340 ? I found the following and the death years 'fit'.

History of Franklin County Indiana 1915 by August J. Reifel p. 1027: "... The maternal grandparents of Charles F. Goodwin were Joseph and Pamelia (Clarkson) Goudie. Joseph Goudie was born in Fayette county, Pennsylvania, January 12, 1795, and died September 29, 1879. In the spring of 1814 he moved with his parents to Franklin county, Indiana, where he lived until his death. They entered the land known as the Goudie farm, now the Goodwin farm, located five miles east of Brookville. Joseph Goudie's parents both died here, the father dying in 1836 and the mother in 1852. The land on which they located was a dense forest and was cleared by much hard labor on his part. Joseph Goudie and his parents were among the first founders of the Mount Carmel Presbyterian church, which was founded in 1824, his membership being continued in that church until his removal to Brookville in 1849, where he was an elder until the time of his death, in 1879. On March 20, 1823, he was married to Pamelia Clarkson, who was the daughter of Richard P. and Mary Clarkson. She was born August 21, 1803, at Exeter, New Hampshire. ...". Thanks. mrs

RE: Thanks!
No problem. Are the Wiskers relatives of yours? If so I'll let you know if I come across any others in the area.

RE: William Welsh
I have a photo of a stone from that same family that simply says "Father" I did not use it on the memorial since It bears no real value as to identification. Thanks for bringing the error to my attention
