Johann Jacob Lehman Mem # 60538387
Hi Adam. Johann Jacob Lehman is my husband's 5th-great-grandfather, and I've done a great deal of research on the Lehman/Layman family at the Maryland Historical Society and elsewhere. Two reliable sources reveal a different middle name for Johann's mother. First, a microfilm of the original church register of Frederick's Evangelical Lutheran Church shows him as the son of Philip Jacob Lehman and wife Barbara. Second, Annette Kunselman Burgert's 1992 book "Eighteenth Century Emigrants from the Northern Alsace to America" states that (1) Anna Barbara, daughter of Bernhardt Zimmerman, citizen of Hunspach, was confirmed in 1734 at the Hunspach Reformed Church; (2) Philip Jacob Lehemann, son of the late Nicklaus Lehemann from Niederhorbach was married on 18 April 1741 to Anna Barbara, daughter of the late Bernhardt Zimmerman; and (3) Philip Jacob Lehmann and his wife Barbara had three children including Johann Jacob baptized in the Frederick Reformed Church, Frederick, MD. I believe you should edit Johann Jacob Lehman's bio to say his mother was Anna Barbara instead of Anna Maria.

Rebecca E. Moser
Rebecca Moser was baptized on Oct 4, 1840 in the Myersville Lutheran Charge, probably at St. John's Lutheran Church. Her full name recorded at that time was SARAH Rebecca E. Moser. The Lutheran Charge covered St. Paul's in Myersville, St. John's near Ellerton and St. Mark's in Wolfsville. These records were published by Margaret E. Myers in 1986. The library in Frederick has a copy in the Maryland Room. The Western Maryland Room in Hagerstown probably has a copy, but I used the copy in Frederick.
Baptism of her siblings in the same book are
John Henry Moser b. 5-26-1834 bap 9-19-1864
Elizabeth Rachel b. 10-11-1836 bap 3-13-1837
Isaiah Moser b. 2-24-1838 bap 5-26-1838
Mary Catharine b. 5-26-1843 bap 9-24-1843
Eli Moser b. 4-3-1845 bap 8-31-1845

RE: Cleo Eichelberger
Glad the connection to Frances P. Eichelberger worked out. It now begs the question is what is the connection between Frances and Charles Freemond Gohn who is listed on the same gravestone?

The Gohn connection is how I happened onto Frances.

Mary Rice Warrenfeltz
You can also connect the son Jonas to the family. He was born 12/4/1839 and died 7/25/1925. He and his wife Mary E [I believe she was a Moser] are buried in Highland Cemetery, Williamsport, Warren County, Indiana.

Mary's brother Ezra V Moser's obituary of June 3, 1913 specifically names his sister Mrs James [sic Jonas] Warrenfeltz of Williamsport, Indiana.
