Family research has been a part of my life for over 30 years. I do volunteer work at the LDS Family History Center located in my neighborhood even though I am not Mormon. I call myself the gentile librarian. I live on the west side of Houston in Katy. I was born in Waco, Texas and go there every few months to be with family. Many of my family members are buried in the Robinson Cemetery south of Waco going back to my great-great-grandmother. Growing up in Robinson, a farming community at the time, was a wonderful experience. |
At the age of fifteen my parents and I moved to Texarkana, Texas. I completed high school and junior college in Texarkana. While attending UT my parents moved back to Robinson. I did six months of active duty in the Marine Corps and five and a half years in the reserve program. After completing the six months active duty, I moved to Houston, TX to seek my fortune. I would have to say my wife, children and grandchildren are my fortune. I am happily married and retired and have eight grandchildren which add joy to my life. If you think I can help you, feel free to contact me.
If you have any corrections or additions to a memorial, please let me know. If you would like for me to transfer a memorial, please let me know.

|Lillie||George Madison Pattison|
I am trying to help a friend who is an alderman for Pattison, TX find information about the city park.
The county or city doesn't seem to have a clear deed to the city, so we are trying to track down whatever information we can, before renovations are started.
We were told that G.M. Pattison donated the property to" the citizens of Pattison."
I'm hoping to find a will or probate records that contain that information.
He died July 11, 1931 in Katy, TX when he crossed in front of a train. From online, he actually resided in Houston.
I appreciate any help you can give us.
