I was born and raised in Kansas. I moved to NW Houston in 1986. I am a mom to two History teachers that I could not be more proud of. Genealogy runs deep in our family.|
I find cemeteries comforting and peaceful. Therefore it is only fitting that I take pictures while I am in one. I want future generations to be able to easily find information on their relatives. The internet is a wonderful tool to use in this way.
I volunteer my time as a National Memorial Lady. We are a group of 30 ladies who honor our vets at every opportunity. I also am a Senior Ride Captain for the Patriot Guard Riders who escort our military safely to their final resting place on motorcycles. I have a special gratitude for our military men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice as well as all who served the USA proudly. Both of my father-in-laws served in WWII, one in the US Army Air Corp. and the other in the US Navy.
If you are requesting a transfer for a particular memorial, please let me know what relation that you are to the deceased. I will make consideration at that point. If you want to use any of my grave stone pics, feel free to....no need to ask.
America....Home of the Free because of the BRAVE.

I would like to request a transfer of this memorial, as he is my Daddy. I feel the same way about the tranquility of a cemetery, especially our National cemetery. I find myself overwhelmed with the peace and pride I feel as I gaze around the grounds. I will even greet each man and woman there as I walk thru to my father, as I consider them his neighbors. I want to thank you for your work with the Ladies and with the PGR. I work at the Harley dealership in Stafford, so I know the time and efforts of the Guards and it is astounding!
(And a personal HI to Kathy in the message below. Her daughter and I have been friends since 8th grade!! lol)

I'm New at this. How did I do the bio on Ollis if you managed the gravesite?? Not sure how that happened. Please forgive me if i offended you. Would like to manage Ollis gravesite if possible, he is a cousin to me. Unless he is a relative to you too. Which ever way you want it is fine with me. Thank you, Corinne

|Jamie Beard||veterans memorial research projoect|
My name is Jamie Beard and I am working very hard to find information on a little over 300 names that are important to loved ones that have submitted these names to be placed on the memorial wall in our little town. I was wondering if you could maybe respond with maybe an idea on how i could go about finding information online that would not require me to sign up with a membership that costs money?
