I'm one of the Original Participants @ the FosterFTDNA project with tested DNA markers up to 67.
I use Find A Grave as a research tool to connect family members of Families related to my Foster Surname and related Surnames. Foster , Minnick, Markland, Davis, Combs, Markland, Myers, Rumbley Zimmerman, Orrell, Tucker . Also the surnames from my mothers side of the Family Braswell, Ratcliff / Ratliff, Henson / Hinson, Diggs / Degge, Myers, Pistol / Travis, Boyette / Boyet,Keen, others . My wifes family surnames Rice , Franklin, Wallin, Shelton, Tweed, Sevier , Chandler and others.
I believe in linking family members with the tools given to us in the Edit Tab Section. Many of my memorials are created by finding the burial Locations listed on Death Certificates.

I am not sure how closely you are related, but I have been trying to find Walter Fleet Foster. I am not sure if he is living or deceased. His brother is Roland Lewis Foster lll, and his father was Capt. Roland Foster. I last saw Fleet in 1994, in Urbanna, Virginia. I would love to know how he's doing and if he is healthy and happy. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks so much and God bless.

He's in the columbarium at Trinity, so your mother had it right after all. If I did not already send you an edit, could you please add "Columbarium" in the plot section of his memorial?
Many thanks for your patience with me on this-

George, Jr., was my childhood friend. George Sr (1923), was my father's, Jack Coop Ward, best friend at Texas A&M, class of '44. I have fond memories of summers spent at their home in Cedar Lane. My grandfather, Gus Roesler, had built a cabin on Caney Creek close to Sargent's Beach. We spent nearly every other weekend at the cabin and it was convinent to stop at Cedar Lane. The cabin was destroyed by Hurricane Carla in September of 1961. My grandfather did not rebuild the cabin and we made less trips to Hhe area, I recently visited Connie at the old home on Ratliff Road. I took her out to dinner and we discussed the old days. I'm still confused about George, Jr.s death. Can you tell me more about the family?
Thanks, Bill Ward

I dont think he's at Trinity Cathedral churchyard. There is the Trinity Methodist cemetery, which is more likely. I'll try to get his obit, and I'll check the Trinity survey.

Dont mean to mislead you, I'm only distantly related to them. One of my mother's Worsham GGaunts married Stephen Franklin, who died in Waynesville around 1917 or 1909, I forget when. That's my Chandler/Franklin connection.

I originally was messaging you to ask about this memorial you have in Trinity Cathedral churchyard in Columbia, to ask you if you are sure he is there, because I have been all over that cemetery several times in the last couple of weeks and I am not finding him. That does not mean he's not there, only that he's not findable by me. Can you tell me how you know he's buried there?
then I read your bio and see that your wife and I have some of the same names in our family trees, Franklin, Shelton, Chandler. My mother's side are from Madison county and from there spread into eastern tennesse. I'd love to kick that around with her a bit.

Please send link(s) in support of the edit. I have not been able to find any other info other than what is already on the memorial. Thank you.
