Birth and deathdate for William J. Johnson, Oak Hill
The dates you have in your narrative for William Jackson Johnson (my great-grandfather) buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Griffin are incorrect. The photo of his gravemarker shows the correct dates. He was born March 29, 1875 and died November 3, 1960. Thanks.

Transfer Request
Could you please transfer George I. Jones (30138747) and Musedore V. Anderson Jones (30138998) to me? They are my great-grandparents on my mother's father's side.

Rebekah I can not delete the memorial because I was not the original contributor. That was the message I received when I tried to delete them. Thank you for your help. P Varnadoe.

RE: Cyrus Jefferson Byars
The information regarding Cyrus Jefferson Byars (March 7, 1919-March 19, 1949) is not correct. His parents were Moses Franklin Byars and Dollie Williams Byars. His brother was T.J Byars. He also had two sisters. Jeffie Byars Clark and Emma Belle Byars Woodson. Emma Belle was my grandmother. Cyrus was in the army and served during WW2. And he didnt die because he had been ill. He died because he was accidently shot by his niece's husband.

Ms. Duncan, You transferred the memorial you made for George W. Downer (#57875679) to me. Since I already have a detailed memorial for him I am requesting that you delete the one you made since it is no longer needed.
I appreciate it very much.

1LT Laurence Camp
Hi Rebecca - thanks for posting the information about Lt. Camp. My father was on the same plane, and I was wondering where you found the information you posted. It is correct, but not widely known. Just curious.

Regards, Judy Saucerman

Fairview Cemetery, Senoia GA, Pvt. George W. Phillips
Dear Rebekah,

It was a pleasant surprise to see the newspaper article about my paternal grandmother's brother, Pvt. George Washington Phillips, complete with picture.

I am most curious as to how you located it and would like to know if you have any information regarding the newspaper which published it.

The family story handed down by his baby sister-Hulette Clyde 'Clydie' Phillips Guest to her children (including my father-Lcdr. Frederick Howard Guest, USN) was that George enlisted in the US Army during WWI and died as a result of the Spanish Influenza epidemic which struck while he was still in boot camp/basic training. Our family lore states that her brother's death benefit payment was sent monthly to Clydie which helped to feed her 6 children during the great depression. She was always grateful for this as her husband-Walter Lloyd Guest was not always able to find tinsmith/metalwork jobs during those tough times.

Finally, thank you for your contributions to the site which has proven to be a treasure for family information.

Best Regards,

Debra Guest

Raymond Brown, 59008503
Hey Rebekah,
Just giving you a heads up that I sent you an Edit on Raymond Brown(59008503) to add/connect his Parents. On May 17, my husband & I found and created a New Cemetery in Screven County that had Raymond's parents buried there.
Thanks, Jeannie Mock Irwin - # 48402560
