"Genealogy, begins as an interest, becomes a hobby, continues as an avocation and in the last stages, is an incurable disease". I have been interested in history for most of my life, and I was privileged to work as a historical guide for the California State Parks for a few years. Now retired, I spend a lot of my time working on family trees.|

I will photograph the site next time I am at Oak Grove, although it may be visible in their son Phillip's stone photo.

Greetings Diana, I am happy to transfer these memorials to you. my eyesight is not too good now. Recently I have just taken a photo of a grave for the benefit of any who are unable to visit. Time is scarce and precious.

Hi Diana, my name is Jerry Hughes, I wanted you to know that myself and two other volunteers were at Woodlawn today in hopes of locating a grave marker for James. Based on cemetery maps, records from the cemetery office records we were only able to find his location, we marked it with a temporary flower to photograph it and another photo of the surroundings. We are very sorry that no marker exists, with deepest of respect, Jerry and the WMP Team.

I am sorry but no one in the lot is marked.
Please see the caption for lot information

Hi, you requested a photo for Mary (Foster Conner) Armes 1833-1916. Unfortunately I could not locate a headstone for Mary but located 2 stones for CONNOR (spelt with an "o". Could these people be relatives (or a typo)? I also found many, many stones for Armes. If you know the Armes that you require, please prepare profiles and I'll add the pics. Thank you.

Hi, found it today and indeed there is a sign telling you to drive up the ally . Once up there its chain link 5-6 ft tall fence all gates chained shut and barbed wire . But on a bright note, Im friends with a locksmith and love adventure. So dont worry, I hope soon to have a rain free day off and will attempt to locate this grave stone, and get that pic. Im going to look on site see if other may be burried near by that are same family, hope to see a pic may give clue as to what area to hunt in. so I dont have to look at every darn head stone hugs c
