Bio Photo Still living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where most of my ancestors have lived. My passion for genealogy drives me to help others find their roots. Please feel free to contact me whether family or genealogy searcher.
In 2007 when searching for Kocinski headstones, I decided to document old cemeteries on the South Side of Pittsburgh. Below are the current list of cemeteries I have completely documented.
-----------------------------------------
St. Adalbert's Cemetery on Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, Carrick, Pennsylvania started May 2007 and finished November 2007.
--Maps of my 'descriptive' location within the cemetery is included as one of the photo on St Adalbert's Cemetery main page.
--Deaths after May 2007, may not be listed.
-----------------------------------------
St Josephat's Cemetery on Glass Run Road, Pittsburgh (Baldwin), Pennsylvania started April 2009 and finished May 2009.
--Maps of my 'descriptive' location within the cemetery is included as one of the photo on St Josephat's Cemetery main page.
--Deaths after April 2009 may not be listed.
-----------------------------------------
Loretto Cemetery on Devlin Street, Pittsburgh, South Side, Pennsylvania started in May 2009 and finished August 2009.

Story from contributor Phyllis Seaman-Eckert about her aunt who died at age 2 and burial location:
There are graves down over the hill at the 1st part of the circle. Apparently, many children were buried down there. In fact, we were always able to locate her grave because it was near a rather large above-ground structure for a Spanish or Mexican child.

--Maps of my 'descriptive' location within the cemetery is included as one of the photo on St Josephat's Cemetery main page.
--Deaths after August 2009 may not be listed.
-----------------------------------------
St Peter's Cemetery on Arlington Avenue, Pittsburgh, Mt Oliver, Pennsylvania started in August 2009 and finished September 2009.

--Maps of my 'descriptive' location within the cemetery is included as one of the photo on St Peter's Cemetery main page.
--Deaths after September 2009 may not be listed.
------------------------------------------
St Michael's Cemetery on 18th Street, Pittsburgh, South Side Pennsylvania started in September 2009 and not finished

My family is coming together really well, much of it because of your advance work, mine could not be done without yours. Transfers really appreciated.

Thanks,
Janie

Thanks...Schulz memorials
Thank you again... I hughly appreciate how thoroughly and promptly you enter all the edits I submit. And I appreciate that you credit me with the information. As you know....hours and hours of research are behind those entries. More importantly, by posting my Find A Grave name you have provided a means for those of us researching the Schulz family to contact each other. I think of other long submissions I have made, without credit...and no one will know how to contact me to share information. What a shame. Thanks again. Kudos.

Allegheny Cemetery
Roseanne,
Thank you SO much for your work. I have a quick question that would help me immensely. You had catalogued records at Allegheny Cemetery. Among those records were graves held my my 3rd Great Grandfather, Daniel Zimmerman. Find a grave won't let me search by lot. And there are several people in the lot that were married in. Is there any chance that you have a full list of people buried in Plot: Section: 29, Lot: 242, owned by my Zimmerman family? If so, that would be HUGELY helpful. I'm specifically trying to figure out which Zimmerman daughter that HUGH Magee may have been married to. But, the entire lot is of interest.
Thanks!!
Jim

RE: Bost transfers
Really appreciate the fact that you take the time to check requests out, and that you respond to them. I have had a few just plain ignored, I'd rather just be told no, then I can proceed on with my goal.

Take care and have a good day,
Janie

RE: Bost
No problem doing the edits, did a lot of research, trying to leave all the connections for the younger generations of my family. As the youngest of 14 children (age 67) not much of family history was passed down to me, my parents died when I was very young. I get surprises everyday while doing research, this has been quite a journey for me.
I'll start the edits today.

Thanks for all the work you do on Find A Grave,
Janie
