Bio and Links
Bio Photo There were about 7100 burials in the Eloise Cemetery which was used until 1948 for unclaimed remains. Some remains were sent to the Detroit College of Medicine (later known as Wayne University College of Medicine) and also the University of Michigan. Those seeking death certificates for those who are buried in the Eloise Cemetery for the years 1935-1948 can obtain copies of them from the Burton Historical Collection of the Detroit Public Library for a nominal fee. An index is on the library website. Many of the Eloise death certificates and burials from 1897 - 1947 can be found on

RE: Rev. Robert A. N. Wilson, Jr.
I did search for him before creating a memorial but didn't use the exact wording that you had for his name so it didn't come up and I didn't know which cemetery he was buried in. Sorry for you inconvenience. I will deleter mine and have you transfer his memorial and redo it.

RE: Offerman in Northview cemetery
Thanks for the quick reply, and I and I'm sure many more are greatly thankful for what you did to list so many graves on

I've been searching for Mary Jane Offerman for over almost 20 yrs. I revistied the cemetery yesterday and met with the man who takes care of it and we've determined her (Mary Jane) husband; Fred W Offerman is in a unmarked grave of sorts. The big marker for the Lodge (IOOF) going up the hill behind and to the right of where Mary Jane is he's with three other lodge members. Too bad no headstone was laid. Now to locate the lodge as the large monument was set in 1966. Not that long ago.

Thanks again, and if I may, I'll put in a request to transfer the Offermans on related to me, to me to work. Hope you don't mind. I"m sure you have a great deal to do with your own tree. Happy hunting.
