|It was the custom of our family, out of respect; to visit the cemeteries where our family members are resting. I no longer live in my home state so this site is the next best thing. |
As time allows, I can be found "adding names" to my former home state cemeteries. I'd like to think I'm leaving a small memorial to the people of Southwestern Pa., and hope that someday the information will be useful to the generations of the next millennium.
A favorite Russian proverb;
"We live as long as we are rememberedů" Find-a-grave helps us do just that.
Just a Note to everyone who may be contacting me:
I do not at present have internet available at home. I DO read all emails and I DO read all corrections, it just takes me time to make corrections or connections.
OK ... lately I've been getting over-whelmed transfer requests for memorials that have been on Findagrave 5 to 7 years. For me to consider these requests please state how you're related to the requested transfer.
I'm very sorry I can't possibly transfer every memorial I have posted, I'm not trying to be unresonable but I'm having people request transfers when they're not even remotely related. I love Findagrave, the memorials aren't suppose to be about "who" owns them, it's to remember those who are no longer with us.

|Cammi Drevo-Amezcua||Brownsville Cem?|
Hello! I recently found an old letter that my grandpa wrote to my grandma while he was visiting his siblings back home in PA. He says in the letter that they visited the grave site of their mom's grandfather, William Washington(1817-1901)at the Brownsville Cem. Did this cemetery name get changed to Mount Pleasant Cem? I'm trying to figure out where they went so I can request a photo of the headstone! As I live in NV, I am unable to take a trip out that way to gallivant all over trying to figure out where exactly it is! (And Grandpa passed in the 80's so I can't ask!)
Any ideas? His wife was Barbara Rist-Washington (1821-1873)
Thanks so much for your time!
3x great grand daughter of William and Barbara Rist-Washington.

I have inadvertently and perhaps incorrectly duplicated your memorial for Harry Marker b. 1895, d. 1895. While yours has the photo with the correct name, mine is under the name Henry Elmer, and contains all the family links. This is not my ancestor, but I believe these two memorials should be merged, perhaps to the one with the links?

|Janis Noonan||Moving page to cemetery|
You have a George E. Zimmerman obit and information with burial "Unknown". I have been photographing Horn Cemetery in Marianna, Washington Co., PA. Could you move his information to that cemetery and I can place the picture. His parents are there and as soon as I put them in there will be numbers to include him as part of the family. Thank you, Janis Noonan

Dear friend, I see this man, my grandmother's cousins husband; a beloved family member in the our history. Records indicate he is buried in West Finley Cemetery and you have him in the Fairmount Cemetery. He was married to Rosanna Ealy Sampson until her early death and later he married his second wife Mary McMurry Sampson. Both his wives are buried at West Finley also. Could you look into this and possibly correct? Your Albert is duplicated on memorial 131278758, in West Finley Cemetery.
Thank you and let me know, John Yanity
Would you please transfer Anthony Libertino (#10428196) to me? I am his oldest son, Angelo Libertino (#48822474). Thank you so much for everything you have done!
