I live in Converse County, Wyoming and have done genealogy work and lookups for people for years. I enjoy helping people find their ancestors!

I volunteered at the Douglas Library a couple years ago to make copies of all obituaries in Douglas papers from 1885 to the present and put them in notebooks so they are easier to find. At present I have about 10,000 and am still going! If you need an obituary I will try to find it for you.

I have access to the book "Pages from Converse County's Past" which has many stories of Converse County pioneers; and I will be glad to check the index for you.

Find A Grave Memorial# 85209836
Hi Betty,
I am Carol Carpenter, the granddaughter of Harold E Kentner. Just thought I'd ask a big favor to see if you can correct the birth place for him. The Find A Grave memorial shows Tama, Mercer County, Ohio. The copy of his draft card on Ancestry and a family bible that I have shows him to have been born in Tama, Tama County, Iowa. Is that something that can be easily corrected, or are there steps that must be taken. Thank you so much for all your do, and for all your notes and flowers. God Bless You.

My grandparents were Frank and Letha Prohaska of Glendo, Wyoming. I didn't get to attend either of their funerals but searched here on a whim and found that pictures had been uploaded! Thank you!

William Watson Edwards #79726181
I received the following correction from you:

"It does not appear that Minnie could be the wife of William Watson Edwards. His wife, Sallie Brian Edwards died close to the death date of Minnie. Sallie is buried in Douglas, Wyoming. Betty"

Minnie Zoellner is listed as William Watson Edwards' wife on his death certificate, so it actually does appear she was his wife. Additionally, they are buried next to each other and share a headstone, so that seems a pretty good indicator as well.

Willie Watt Edwards and Minnie Zoellner were married on Sept. 15, 1931 and your bio on Sallie's page said he had resided in NC since 1930, so it makes sense that Minnie was his wife when he passed away. Perhaps he and Sallie divorced. Thanks, LG

Howdy Betty,
First, thank you for the time and effort you have put into find a grave. I am the last grand daughter of William E and Verna Mildred Taylor. My dad is Norris Alwin Taylor, The oldest son. I am a Psychotherapist in private practice. All my uncles and dads parents are buried in douglas. It was very heartwarming to know that someone would put this effort in, it shows a great deal of compassion and love of Wyoming history. The flowers you left were very important to me also..thanks betty Verna Jewell Taylor

Harvey B. "Peg" Lawrence
Hi Betty: I am pretty sure that Harvey is my long lost grandfather. Do you have the actual obituary as it appeared in the newspaper at the time of his death? Does it mention the son back east by name? Does it mention who Harvey was married to when the son was born? Thanks for all that you do for all of us. Have a spectacular day! Karline (Lawrence) Wild
