Bio and Links
Bio Photo If you have corrections, additions, or links you'd like me to add to a memorial, I am glad to make those corrections. Please use the edit feature. It's easy and efficient, and helps ensure accuracy. Feel free to add photos and flowers to any of the memorials I created, which any member can do on his or her own.

I follow Find A Grave's guidelines for transfers.
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=listFaqs#79
Please read the FAQ. I won't transfer memorials en masse, and I won't try to look up your user ID if you request a transfer of your close relative's memorial through an email which does not include your member number. I traveled to most of the memorials I've documented, spending my own resources and time to do it. The memorials I've posted are a product of my work. Please don't address requests to me as though you are entitled to receive the work I've done.

I am glad to share the information I gathered on Find A Grave. I will even go to a cemetery to see if your relative is there when there is no other record of it, when I have time. You may use any of my photos for your own non-profit purposes once they are posted on Find A Grave. I love genealogy, too, and understand the desire to have a photographic record to attach to a relative's personal history. Credit me my photos, please.

My husband and I are related to people in the following groups of family names: Sparks, Copenhaver, Brown, Mullens, Mullins, Armstrong, Frame, Scott, Hill, Creasy, LeMaster, Hanna, Temple, Davis, Staggs, Leftwich, Sargent, Rader, McClung, Groves, Hamrick, Vance, Morral, Phares, Boggs, Pope, Hedrick, Kesner, Williams, Knapp, Gum, Seibert/Seybert, etc.

West Virginia Regional & History Center (at WVU):

https://wvrhc.lib.wvu.edu/

I just called and spoke to 'Laura' who will do some digging but believes most likely the issue is of donating bodies for medical research. Bodies were probably later cremated thus, it does not seem approrpriate to me to have a findagrave cemetery rather the folks probably should be listed as cremated.

She says there is a tribute wall outside the current medical center to those who donated their bodies for science: unknown if there is a listing there of names or whether or not their is an online photo of it.

The only cemetery she is aware of was in the late 19th century located with the current Stewart Hall is now (the President's residence). But she'll investigate.

Waiting to hear back from her.

RE: WV University Cemetery
Here's a death cert I just found for one of my relatives - note that states he was removed to Morgantown. Yes - good questions about why the connection between the hospital and the University. Might be worth a call to WVU.

I just learned of this cemetery but have no idea of its actual location. Do you have any info? Thanks.

Karickhoff and Suder markers
Thank you for the wonderfully clear photo of these markers. I love that you took the photos with the sunshine on the markers. That makes the writing really legible!

Thanks again!

Tom
