Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am now a ninety one year old mother, grandmother, gr-grandmother, and recently a gr-gr-grandmother. On my 80th birthday my grandkids were ask to share what they remember about grandma. Because I realized they didn't know much about their ancestors, I decided to write down what I remembered of the stories that were told to me as I was growing up. That lead me to contact the Sequoia Genealogical Society.

Volunteers taught me how to find more than 100 years of local family history from the Tulare City Libraries Genealogical Collection.

One volunteer, a retired school teacher taught me, fourth grade style, how to search the Internet on the computer. That year my daughter and grand children gave me a computer for Christmas, and I was off and flying and now I added Find a Grave to my activities.

I am now a self appointed family historian who has been doing research on my own extended family, and that of my friends,

Seen on another contributor's profile. I couldn't agree more.

We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe.

When you visit one of my memorials please leave a flower. I appreciate it when you say what relation, if any, to a person.

Because of my age I would like to transfer some of my memorials. For many of them, I am not a direct descendant, and I prefer to transfer to direct descendants. There are a few occasions where I will make an exception. I will not make any transfers unless you leave a flower and a note.

Martin Luther Dupuy
The picture you put on Martin Luther Dupuy shows the family resemblance to his older brother (my grandfather Joseph R. Dupuy) Can you tell me where you found this picture? Thank you . His # is 13532486. He had 15 older brothers and sisters. Thank you.

Hello, just wanted to let you know that we accepted one of your recent edits, but declined the other because you listed her father correctly, but the person you gave as the mother was actually the grandmother. We have made the correct links and appreciate you sending the information - thanks!

Hi there. I accepted your edits for him but wanted you to know his Illinois death certificate state his birth year as 1845, which would match his age at death in obit and on cemetery records. I therefore changed it to 1845 rather than the 1854 you sent. It also stated his parents' names were a tad different than who you linked them to. Please refer to his memorial to see that information. Thanks.

I think this grave is located in Reheboth Baptist Church in Piedmont, SC in Greenville County SC . I have been over there several times and I don't see a marker for this person .The memorial says it is in Piedmont ,SC not Gaffney ,Sc .Thanks so much

Cochran family photos
You have added some wonderful photos of Oliver Houston Cochran #55315511 and Mary Glasgow Cochran #38487437.
Are you related to them? Their daughter Olyve Cochran Ussery #15813773 married my grandfather’s brother.

RE: Elizabeth Carnahan at Melugin Cemetery
Hi Audrey,

Nice to hear back from you. No need to apologize. I'll get back down to the cemetery very soon; still so much to photograph and get online. There are many more Carnahan's down there that I didn't photograph. In all honesty, I probably passed the stone you wanted a photo of.

Photo request
Dear Audrey,

I see you've put in a photo request for Elizabeth Carnahan at Melugin Cemetery. I wish you had put it in earlier because I was just there photographing a large portion of the cemetery. There are well over 1,000 burials here and thus far this site only has about 500. I will do my best to get back down there later this week; tomorrow is supposed to storm.

I read your bio and congrats on recently becoming a 2nd great-grandmother. How rare to be alive when a 2nd great-grandchild of yours is. What a blessing. I wish you many more years of good health.
