I was born and raised in Logan County. Since I retired I love to do family history. Working to help others find their families is great, My husband helps me with this. We love to get out and search for cemeteries all over the country side. | |

 | Charles Johnson Well...Find A Grave does not give one the option of editing, (or deleting) a message, so "Oops" for the message below..sorry! Donna, Thank you so much for the info on the Shaker town cemetery burial. Pretty hard to believe isn't it, that they would destroy a cemetery to make way for a visitor center. I can see MOVING it and re-interring but NEVER totally destroying! You are quite the sleuth and I am grateful for all your help. | | | Diane Addington Matherly

 | Virginia Susan Page and Charles Johnson Donna, I know for certain they are in Logan County...just not sure which cemetery. I would have thought, Auburn Cemetery, but it has not come up on anything to which I have limited access. They are also not in the Johnson family cemetery. My husband remembers his grand parents affectionately referring to him (his great grandfather, Charlie Johnson), as "whispering Charlie" because he had a significant hearing loss, he shouted when he spoke. I have in my notes that Virginia Susan died in 1906, the same as one of her sons of typhoid. She was born in 1853. This is what I have on her parents... Father: Thomas S. PAGE b: 21 JAN 1810 in Goochland County, VA Mother: Katherine SIMPSON b: 28 AUG 1816 in Virginia
Marriage to Charles JOHNSON b: 1832-1894
* Married: 23 Jan 1872 in Logan Co, KY Any help you can give me, I am grateful. | | | Diane Addington Matherly

 | Welborn and Newman The Welborns and Newmans were marrying each other back and forth for generations. Most of the Welborns from our family seem to come from the Muhlenberg area. Starting with Moses Wickliff Welborn marrying Frances Rachel Newman, my husband's great great grandparents. I have noticed that you have completed a LOT of memorials for my husband's side of the family and I knew you had done a great deal of work on people in Logan County. The Pages are specifically what I thought you might have some idea about the burial location....those six or so that i inquired about. | | | Diane Addington Matherly
