Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am an avid genealogist and have been researching my family and my husband's family for 35+ years. We have traveled quite a bit to find ways around my "brick walls" and have been to lots of cemeteries and taken lots of pictures. I'm glad to have a chance to share some of this information on Find A Grave. My husband, Jim, deserves credit for all of the pictures as he patiently visits cemetery after cemetery with me.

PLEASE if you find an error or have additional information on any of the people I have posted, email me or suggest an edit. I will be glad to make additions and corrections so that the information is as accurate as possible.

I am doing Find A Grave work to honor our ancestors and, hopefully, to help others find information on their own ancestors. I found this message on Beverly Sprowl Teibel's contribtor page, and it expresses my sentiments as well. "Find A Grave gives a voice to those who are not in the history books or the sports records. It lets us put our family, our true heroes who make us what we are and to an extent what we will become in the future, out there for the world to see and honor."

The pictures that we have taken may be used by families and descendants. However, pictures taken for 19th and 20th Indiana soldiers have been taken for the 19th Indiana web site of Phil Harris and may NOT be posted on other web sites without my permission.

Thanks to all of you who have posted information and photos on Find A Grave and to those who process the edits. This is a great way to preserve information, and in doing so, preserve our past.

I found this letter in the bio of Bobby Jett and had to add it to my bio as well. Genealogists do indeed feel this connection.

"Dear Ancestor"

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.

It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.

Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.

I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

Thank you so much for posting that picture. Velma has been a bit of a mystery, but now I can at least be sure of her final resting place. I really appreciate it.

Martha Silknitter

Would there be any chance that you would transfer the management of the memorial for Martha Silknitter to me? She is my great-grandmother and I have been doing extensive research about her over the past year, so I have a lot of information I would like to add to her memorial and edit over time. Her memorial is number 21546390.

Hi - These folks are buried in Palmer Chapel Cemetery Miami Co Bethel Twp. I assume you took the photos. Can you tell me the exact date that you photographed these?
We are trying to get these stones which are on the internet being sold back to the family and back to the burial spaces.
If you could, please let me know.
My emai: My name is Linda Campbell and these folks are direct descendants of my cousin Sharon Ochs-Maingi. Thank you.

Ivan Lee Burden
Yes, there is a monument in the Wilson Cemetery for Ivan, however, his second wife refused to have him buried there. She also destroyed almost all of his family photos according to one of his granddaughters. A few she gave to her family. It is a really sad situation. His children are trying to have him moved to Wilson Cemetery to lay beside their mother. I have not heard whether they have succeeded yet. When I find out, I will try to message you.
