|Bio and Links|
OK..so I've been doing Find-a-Grave for a while now and have decided to change my bio a bit.|
Here are my thoughts on this stuff.
Relax..enjoy what you're doing otherwise you should stop before you get too far into it. No man is an island and this certainly can't be done alone.
TRANSFERS: In most cased I'll transfer any memorial that isn't listed in my family surnames. I transfer on a case by case decision. I don't have issues with the number of generations. If I've transferred a memorial to you, please be sure you can maintain it or make the changes that others request. If for any reason, you can't maintain the memorials I've transferred to you, I'll be more than happy to take it back. ..please don't ask for a transfer of memorials and then become an inactive member, and have all your memorials go stagnant...TRANSFER THEM BACK OR TRANSFER THEM TO SOMEONE WHO CAN MAINTAIN THEM.
PICTURES: If I've taken a picture or attached a document ... please help yourself...no need to give me credit. I've created them to try to help preserve our ancestry, as well as help other researchers find their family links.I try to use pictures that are clear enough to read, but sometimes that isn't always possible. If you want to attach a picture to my memorials that are better than mine...please do so. I welcome them, but keep in mind I might use them in Ancestry.com if they're in my family tree....thanks again in advance.
EDITS: If there are errors in any of the memorials that I've entered please let me know. I'll be glad to correct them as well as make any changes necessary. PLEASE USE THE EDIT BUTTON.
FLOWERS: PLEASE PLEASE don't use the flower section as a place to add a bio for the memorial...that isn't where it belongs. If I happen to come across one on a memorial that I've created, I will ask you to remove it. I'll gladly add it to the bio...just send me an EDIT. If it isn't deleted in a timely amount of time I will ask email@example.com to remove it.
DUPLICATES: Duplicates happen...it's impossible not to happen. We've all created duplicates. If you've created a duplicate, please don't ignore the courteous request to delete them. I will gladly delete mine. If you don't delete your duplicate within a reasonable amount of time, I will ask firstname.lastname@example.org to do so.
UNKNOWN LOCATION: ...OH my...this seems like such a touchy subject with everyone. How on earth are you going to know where everyone is buried unless you personally attended each and every funeral service. Now really...people are buried in sometimes almost nonexistent cemeteries in family lots, cremated, ashes scattered, ashes with family members, etc, etc...sometimes you have to create a memorial with "location unknown". If you should come across one of my memorials, and I've indicated "unknown burial" ..send me an EDIT..I'll gladly move it...don't created a duplicate...isn't that senseless.
It's hard for me to understand that these memorials belong to any one person....I believe they belong to "all" of us.
A sincere THANK YOU to all the Find a grave volunteers for all the hard work, help and dedication that you've give me.
This may sound a bit crude, but my theory is "if you don't want to share your toys...get out of the sandbox".

I have the stone with out his DOD. I can add it if you want. I have been working on Mt Hope. I do one section at a time. My grandson helped take some in one area.

Thanks for letting me know I did OK. I'm fairly new at this and a little paranoid that I am going to screw up in some way. It does feel good to do this sort of stuff for others.
|Dan Lanteigne||re:Lanteigne memorials|
Regarding female Lanteigne memorials with their maiden name also Lanteigne is found fairly common in my family tree. Small communities in New Brunswick often stayed and married within their own community marrying 3rd, 4th and 5th cousins. My eldest sister married another Lanteigne. Makes for a very confusing family tree

Regarding this message you sent:
The memorial you created is in a bogus cemetery...
THERE ARE ONLY THREE CEMETERIES IN BETHLEHEM, NH...MAPLE STREET CEMETERY, MOUNT WASHINGTON CEMETERY AND ST ROSE DE LIMA CEMETERY....THE ONLY CURRENT ACTIVE CEMETERY IS THE MAPLE STREET CEMETERY
I am not sure who created this cemetery but I did add a record based on her death record where all it had about her burial is:
New Hampshire Deaths
Burial Place: Bethlehem NH
I am not sure which of the cemeteries you mention is the correct one. Is it possible there was only one cemetery in Bethlehem in 1897?
|BL Hughes||Thaddeus Sanger|
He was born in Troy, Vt. March 12,1835 and is a son of Ezra and Sarah M. (Brown)Sanger and a grandson of Eleazar and Sabrina (Whitney)Sanger.
I have much more on his life from "The Book of Biographies" that i can send later.
Baby Holbrook 123598668 I have him: Place of interment North Cemetery, Name of cemetery Bethlehem. Parents living in Pierce Bridge New Hampshire.
If you want me to add obituary's to a bio I will. I e mailed Photo at find a grave and they say not to add them as photos. I have sent some in to be removed and they have done it. Please do not add any more to memorials I have added.

I fixed the picture. I think it is correct now. Thanks for the correction.
