Joseph and Martha Smith
Thank you so much for these photos. Joseph Smith (128970358) is my 4th great-grandfather and his wife Martha (Robinson) Smith (128970374) is my 4th great-grandmother. Would you be willing to transfer these to me? (My F-G is 47578300.)

I just requested a photo of Clara Augusta Smith Bowler, also buried in the same plot. If you happened to take a photo of the stone on the left, which looks like Eliphalet and his wife, let me know and I will request those as well.

Thanks again!

ALDRICH/DRAKE families headstones
Thank you for taking the time to fill my request. This helps me in further documenting the ALDRICH families in America.

John Oakes Sr.
There is a cemetery in Brewer called Oak's Hill. I don't know if it has any connection to the Oak Hill mentioned in the source I just gave you. I had the feeling that was the name of the family property but perhaps they had a connection to the cemetery. I don't know. I wish I could give you more. Thank you again.

John Oakes Sr. and John Oakes Jr. Oak-Oaks-Oakes : family register, Nathaniel Oak of Marlborough, Mass., and three generations of his descendants in both male an [database on-line]. Provo, UT: Operations Inc, 2005.
Original data: Oak, Henry Lebbeus,. Oak-Oaks-Oakes : family register, Nathaniel Oak of Marlborough, Mass., and three generations of his descendants in both male and female lines : with sketch of life of Henry Lebbeus Oak, historical writer and genealogist. Los Angeles: Out West Co. Print, 1906.

This must be where she got the information. John Oakes Jr. is mention in the section with his father John Oakes Sr. John Oakes Sr was born 22 Oct 1757 Harvard and died 25 Jun 1842 in South Exeter apparently also called Oak's Hill. I just now noticed that there is a cemetery in Maine called Oak's Hill but I haven't looked at it yet. I only see the one person listing the father's dates but there is no photo of that yet either.

John Oakes Jr
I did not add the item to Find a Grave so I don't know where they got the Oakes grave from. I think I remember reading about something about this, that was a burial on property owned by the family, something like Oakes hill but I do not have that. I suspect that he is where you referred to but I just wanted to rule out the other if possible. Thank you.

John Oakes Jr
Has anyone looked through the Oakes Cemetery for John Oakes Jr.?

It seems likely that it is the John Oakes Jr in Kenduskeag Village Cemetery that you drew my attention to.

I would particularly like to find the cemetery item for Catherine who married first McKinney (also found as McKenny, Kinney, Kenny) and then married John Oakes. I would appreciate it if you could continue to keep an eye out for her. She is my most distant ancestor on my direct maternal line.

Thanks for you efforts on this.
