Bio and Links
Bio Photo Interested in genealogy since about 1990. Started using FTM at that time and basically kept adding to the file through visits to local cemeteries and picture taking. Primarily my interest has been in the Columbia Falls, Maine area including all cemeteries in and around that part of Washington County. Great past time as there are always pieces to add both big and small. Anybody that is looking for information in Washington County, Maine (middle Eastern section)e-mail me at KIS@AOL.Com and I may already have the information or can try and obtain it for you.

Please transfer my Aunt Ethel's memorial # 68826085 over to me so I can add bio and link Ethel to her parents, Jesse S Cox and Charlotte Whitney Cox. Thank you. I just spent a week in Machias & traveled all over Washington County taking photos.

Hey Ken,

Just to let you know she did move his record and I deleted mine. :-)

Thanks for all your help,

Hi Ken,

I appreciate your thought on that one for sure ...

Actually the policy on FAQ states:

"In regard to duplicates, a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred over an unknown burial location."

I know this since in the early days of Find A Grave, especially working with veterans, I added some with "burial unknown" and had to delete "a lot" of my burial unknowns (and still do it today when they come up) when someone places them in a actual "cemetery" .... And I'm happy to do so.

I work on veterans records about 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, and contact support on a daily basis so I'm pretty sure on what is and isn't correct.

Anyway, I'll try (again) to contact her and see if she'll move her record. :-) Then I'll gladly delete mine.

It truly isn't about the numbers for me ... it's about insuring that the correct info for veterans "Who Gave Their All" is entered and that they are remembered for what they did for us all!

Thanks my friend, :-)

Thanks !! I appreciate it very much!

I created a record in that cemetery for him since he has a headstone there. If you'd like to move your photos over to that one as well I'd also appreciate that.

Having "two" records is appropriate in Find A Grave since one notes his body was "Lost At Sea" and the other, the one I created, notes where the headstone is located.

It's up to you. :-)

His new record:

Thanks again,

Hi, I realize this is a "long shot" but do you remember which cemetery you found the headstones for this record:

He is also noted here:
