I am trying to photograph all the tombstones in Perry Co. Arkansas. Some graves are marked with only rocks or old temporary unreadable markers. I photograph those for my records, I hope to make plats for each cemetery. I try to piece together old broken stones to photograph. I've cut down bushes to uncover hidden stones, dig up sunken stones and fallen in unseen holes, as well as capturing a snake in a photo on a tombstone,(Unseen until I uploaded the photos on the computer). |
Any photo I take and post here are for your benefit. You are welcome to use it any way you wish.

Hello. Thank you for your message on Find a Grave.
I just sat down and found a nice article on Orson Shaw in Sumter County Alabama. Please email me and I will attach it and send it along. His wife Easter was mentioned often with her name misspelled. I am not working on my Genealogy very often at this time but I always like to find someone and exchange. Here is my work on Roots Web
I used Ancestry.com for over 10 years- then I became upset at some of the things they were doing and I had so many people steal my work without any thanks and then get things wrong.
I live in California. My work on Roots web is not suppose to be down loadable in whole. You are welcome to use what ever is there if it helps you discover what you need. Please email me at
firstname.lastname@example.org and we can visit easier.
My mother was Olga Boykin Jennings. You can see how she is from the Boykin line.

Thanks so much Sharon. I would really appreciate that because I don't know if there is really anyone in the area to take the photo.

Charles is my husband brother who he barely knew due to be only 5 when Charles died he has been searching for the cemetery that he was buried at. He has no Idea on Charles birthday or death day. So all he had was a marker?

Hi Sharon, I found this info on a site called familysearch.org. If you've never been on this site you do have to sign up, but it is free . There are a lot of d/c's available that you can view and copy off. I did find a d/c for this Nora,it stateed that she was a widow, unfortunately there wasn't a family member listed as informant for that record, all info was from hospital records. Wasn't sure if this was the correct woman or not, just all the names for her were there. I also checked the Evergreen Cemeteries on find a grave, but it could just be no-one ever listed her. Researching on the web, I found that the Evergreen Cemetery on 4301 Alameda Ave, dates back to 1894 and has 47 acres in use, and the person that was writing about it said that there is very little written about locations of graves there.Could you imagine trying to walk that looking for one grave.
