Bio and Links
Bio Photo A longtime interest in genealogy and cemeteries paired with a fascination (alright, obsession) with local history brought me to Find A Grave. Wandering around cemeteries, researching and connecting the dots are the best aspects of genealogy for me. I'm also drawn to the design and typography of headstones--faux bois and Art Nouveau styles are my favorites. And sometimes a stone with the light hitting it just right demands to have its picture taken.

Eliza MacArthur
You had sent an edit request for Eliza about the middle name should be UNKNOWN. On the monument there is a "M" showing. Do you want me to still remove the "M"? JAN

RE: Gregg family
Debbie, I would be glad to care for the Gregg memorials. Would you like me to send Edit requests for each to make it easier?

RE: Gregg family
I wondered if you were related because you did such a great job with all the memorials, including adding the obituaries!

1C4R means 1st cousin 4 times removed.

Regards, Kaye

RE: Abeel family
Hi Debbie,
I was able to find another notice about the boy Abeel OCt 1866 in Madison. It doesn't give his name, but it does state he is the second child of theirs to die, so that would put him in the middle of the three unknowns.

RE: Abeel family
I absolutely say he is one of the three! The cemetery records have no information on the three graves, so I would have to say you located one. I just looked online at the Historical society, and there a couple of newspapers from Madison, during that time frame that they have on microform. I can go take a look for more info. Waldo was a pretty big deal in Madison it seems, he was also on the board of the historical society, so it's possible, more can be found. I will let you know what I find.
