Suggestion
I notice your photo on John Tabb's memorial is a funeral home marker. I would like to suggest that you enter these type photos as 'other' rather than 'tombstone' photo. This would benefit those of us who just look at the name with the tombstone behind the name and think there is tombstone photo already posted. I have recently been doing this and it really helps when I visit a certain cemetery to search for recent tombstones to photograph. Thank you for your fine work here on Find A Grave!

Thanks for your picture, unfortunately I can't tell if he was a 327GIR, 101st airborne during the WW2 . I'm pretty certain he is the hero I look after , same name, same Birth year, same state ... If one day you find his obit could you contact me ?

Thanks

Domi

THANK YOU for the photos. It is sad to see the damage and the reason why I think Find A Grave is so great - getting photos NOW so people hundreds of years later can still see/read the stones!

Your time and efforts are greatly appreciated

RE: J W Applegate headstone
Do you know if the cemetery has records for those buried there? Do you have any contact information for the cemetery? i.e. business office phone number.

A while back I was researching the location of my great grandmothers stone and when I asked the cemetery office for some information I ended up with names for her parents, grandparents and even great-grandparents; they also provided information for other cemeteries where I could find other family members.

I will be uploading that information to this site as soon as I learn how to.

Thank you again,
Rochelle Rufener Griffing

J W Applegate headstone
Hello,
I too have a photo of this headstone; only mine is in black and white. My grandmother had it in a collection of photographs. She could not provide any information about the persons whose names appear on the stone. Because of your listing I know now the location of the cemetery.
Do you have any additional information about the two listed on this stone?
I have been searching for a Joseph W Applegate for many years and since this was in my grandmothers possession I believe it is the one I have been searching for.
I don't however have any idea who the Sophia Smith would be on the stone.
Do you know where I may be able to get additional information about the two listed on this stone?
Thank you,
