I first became interested in geneology when I found a copy of Record of McMillan and Allied Families in my aunt's home. I was even more excited to discover that my name is in the book!! I've been chasing my past ever since.

Today, I am a 5th grade Language Arts/Social Studies teacher for the state of Georgia. I often bring my own family history into the classroom. I hope my students get the "bug" to discover who their ancestors are!

In my spare time, I not only trace my direct ancestors, but also their descendants. It's through this forward and backward approach that I've been able to rule out similar records and find those that actually belong to my family.

It is also due to so many others who are willing to share their hard sought research that my quest is made that much easier. To them, I say a huge thank you.
