I am a member of S.C.A.N. (Southern Connecticut Ancestry Network) which is a genealogy group located in Hamden, CT. Our goal is to post online all of the burials in our Town's Cemeteries. We started this project using the Hale Collection of CT Headstone Inscriptions, and the burial records from Hamden Plains Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Burying Grounds and Beaverdale Memorial Park.|
If you have any corrections, additions or deletions for any of my postings, please let me know.

Thank you very much for taking the time to do this for me.

Your very welcome. If you're researching Amenia, have you gone to fultonhistory.com? Lots of new York newspapers, including the Amenia papers from late 1800's until the paper closed in early 2000's. The pages come up as pdfs, and the search can only find what it thinks the papers say, but there's a ton of info out there. If you go, I recommend you set the search to Boolean and use the following format when searching
Amenia NY Times and (whoever or whatever you're looking for)
That command will only read the Amenia Times from the 1880's or so until 1910 or so.
For newer papers, set to Boolean and use:
Amenia NY Harlem Valley Times and (whatever you're looking for)
That will search the papers from ca 1910 to ca 2000.

Forget to ask: Is it possible to get a clearer shot of Reuben Royce's headstone [Memorial #14473084]? Are you near the Center Street Cemetery?
It is not really readable, as the sun is behind it in the posted shot.
Is there a lot/plot specification?

So sorry I had addressed you as "Jan"--I was boggled by a long day of tree building not going so well, at the time.
Thank you so much for the transfer of Reuben Royce. It feels very good to find one's family.
And for all of the tremendous work you have done, many thanks.

If you would be so kind, I would like to take care of the memorial for Reuben Royce, who is my fifth great grandfather--# 14473084.
Thank you so much for all of the great work.

Thank you! I really appreciate it!

May I use your photos for online family trees and to print for personal family albums? I'm specifically looking at the one for Capt. John Higley, memorial #17973458, my 7th great grandfather. I originally found your photo on Ancestry and attached it to my tree. I will remove it if you prefer, or give you credit as the photographer if that's ok.

Thank you so much for the photo's. They cleared up some discrepancies I found on my tree. I appreciate your good work!

I have deleted my memorial. Yours had a lot more information than mine did.

I made the updates to her name and death location on the memorial. Please feel free to send me the obituary information so I can update her memorial more for you. Thanks!
