Robert Bolan :: Pine Torch Cemetery, Lawrencey County AL
Hello-I was told by a family member that Robert Bolan (b. abt. 1787-d. aft. 1850) is buried at Pine Torch. I am assuming there may be no tombstone. I am wondering if you have access to a cemetery book or plot map. I'd like to verify this information. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter and for all you've done on FindAGrave.com. It is greatly appreciated.

re Eugenia Harris 1863-1926 Roselawn Decatur AL
Dear Bonnie-

First of all thank you so very much for all you do to help us find our family graves- its wonderful to know where my grt grandmother lies. FYI though, the info you posted about her from another website I believe needs correction. Eugenia was Eugenia Milligan Harris. Milligan was her maiden name, not her fathers first name. She is in 1870 census living w her grandparents "Miligan" and she is in AL Marriages 14 Mar 1879 Eugenia Milligan to OC Harris.

Also in Roselawn are her daughters Cynthia Ida Jane Harris Napps d1978 and Pearl Levinia Harris Newsome d 1936

Thank you :)

RE: Elnora Ballentine - 51931147
Thanks, but if you didn't find her first husband a few years ago, then he's probably not there.

I had a cemetery that I started on (Hunter Cemetery in Maury County, TN), had around a hundred stones showing and only 7 names in Find A Grave. Then they started to clear out the surrounding area. It's now up to 662 and I'm still not sure if I have them all.

Unless it's a situation like that, he won't be there. Most cemeteries, thankfully, are not like that.

Thanks for your time. Keep up the good work.

There are two names misspelled in the obituary info on my dad's information.
Rena Cook should be Renea Cook (that's me)
Carretha Powers should be Coretha Powers

Thanks for the posts!!!!

Elnora Ballentine - 51931147
I was working on Mary Helen Morris and found out that Elnora was her mother. First, although the rules say not to put the names of people that are alive in the bios, I want to thank you for not doing that. I originally removed all the surviving family names because of that rule, but came to the conclusion that keeping the immediate family names (parents, siblings, and children) would benefit those in the future looking for confirmation of a relationship. Thanks - I'm the one in the future.

Also, if you are close to Sterrs Cemetery and you have some hours to kill (like there's nothing to do after work, right?) could you look to see if her (first?) husband Jeff Ballentine is there? If you don't have the time, don't worry, as Buliwyf said in "The 13th Warrior": it's a small matter.

So grateful to you for creating my Uncle's Memorial, and your kindness in transferring it to my management. I've added a photo of him. He was highly intelligent but never a proud or arrogant man; just very kind to everyone.
Gratefully yours,
Joyce
