|Richard Bedwell||RE: James Patterson|
I am new to find a grave, I don't know much about sponsoring a grave, but I suppose I can learn.
Dr. James Buyers Patterson and his wife Sarah Emma Cameron Patterson are my second great-grandparents. I've been searching for them for awhile and finally found them.
You can transfer them to me if you like and I'll see what I can do. I posted the location of their graves on ancestry dot com and I suspect many of my cousins will be interested in this. I have requested pictures, don't know if there are actual headstones or if the graves are unmarked.

Paul: I went in and viewed the Velma Find A Grave but do not recognize her as being one of our family line. Have never heard my cousin, Zelma & Sham's daughter, mention a different spelling nor that name. If I find out to the contrary I will let you know.

You are very welcome, Paul. Glad I could be of help to you.
It is my pleasure to photo each Section as I can. My source is the Mills County Cemetery Book published in 1983. I use records from it to walk the rows and photo those not already in F-A-G. There are many sections, and I have added many memorials to F-A-G as a result.

We are pretty distantly related--in fact we had never heard of Allen until my husband, Roy, inquired who was in an unmarked plot near two of his (Roy's) aunts and uncles. After I sent that correction to you, I wondered if the DOB for Leigh (1884) might have been incorrect in Roger Linn's book. (Roger was Roy's brother.) Maybe she was the Infant buried at Shelby in 1887. If she wasn't, she must have died as an infant also because Allen and Alice are listed as having no children in the 1885 Iowa census. Do you have Roger's book? It is a huge hardcover book with thousands of descendants of Hugh and Sarah Widney Linn. P.S. I added a memorial for Alice who is on the same marker as their daughter Vera.

Thank you so much for letting me know these gems you found re. Emma McCurdy's brother's family. I am just getting back to updating things after a break from doing so and am delighted that you found so much info here!
Again, much appreciation - I've been busy last day updating my records with all of the new information!
|Catgray||re re: L C James|
Hey, thanks! Lewis (or Louis) James had a son Andrew J James who was born about 1882. It could very well be him. I will look up the other names and see if I can find a connection.

Thank you for making the extra effort to get a good photo of this gravestone. Feel free to clean away! No hurry at all, and I'm sorry for the trouble--but I do appreciate it!
|Anne||RE: Prudence Lester|
I am not related or know anything about the Lester family you've asked about. If you let me know what you're looking for I'll see if I can locate it for you.
If you'd like--I am willing to transfer her memorial to you.

Thanks for the latest on Vernon Leigh McClain Find A Grave 77775605.
Perhaps we could e-mail instead of Find A Grave messages. I check my e-mail (email@example.com) several times a day but sometimes go several days without checking in at Find A Grave.
I wish I could trade info if you have any folks in Oregon.
