Just started looking into my family tree, but was fortunate enough to have other family members who were interested in the task before me. My family is mostly from the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton area and I'm eager to learn as much as I can about them.|
FAMILY NAMES : Borkowski, Gardner, Kagler, Lesawicz, McAfee, Mulherin, Smurl, Tingley, Wasilewski, Yanovitch
CURRENT PROJECT : Adding the members of Monument Cemetery in Beverly, N.J. I do about ten a day and I'm about 3/4ths done.
PET PEEVE : Burial Unknown. This site is FIND a GRAVE, and even though its data base is a great genealogical resource, populating it with burial unknowns is not helpful. If you know where a person is laid to rest, add them, if not- don't. Out of the thousands I've added only two are unknown- because one was cremated and the ashes were given to a family member, the other the body was donated to science.
PHOTOS : I generally allow useage; but I think it's courteous to ask first. If you're rude, don't expect a possitive response. Remember- the volunteers are doing YOU the favor.
EDITS/TRANSFERS : Use the Edit tab for the memorial in question. This is what it was designed for. I don't understand why people make extra work for themselves (leaving the memorial page to find the memorial caretaker's page to write a request) and for the person who needs to do the edits/transfers (they have to search their memorials to hopefully find the correct one YOU'RE talking about and if it's a transfer- track down the id number of the person it should go to.) I will not answer any requests left on my wall or in the flowers- so be kind and follow the rules of the site. Also, what was said about photos applies here, the edit tab is to suggest edits- demanding I change something will be seen as rude and will be ignored.

Hello! I was wondering if you would consider transferring Charles Krail #113984859 to me. I have extensive information that I can add. If you aren't willing to transfer his memorial would you please link his parents to him. His father is #113185311 Emmanuel Krail and his mother is #113650043 Catharine Fink. I already have most of his siblings linked on his parents memorial. I've been researching my "Krail Family" for years. You had gotten me photos in the past of my grandparents. Thanks for your contributions!

Thank you very much for the plot information and for taking the photograph for me.

Good evening! What were you hoping to gain from seeing the stone? The site isn't impossible to get to even though most descriptions claim it's on private property. It's a good walk through the woods and you have to get the ticks off afterwards (yuck!). When I was there a few years ago the grass was quite high in the cemetery itself. If you go, it might be helpful to carry a lite weed-whacker with you to access the stones without being covered in ticks. I'd go back if I weren't 2 hours away!

You're very welcome.

Great to hear from you. The weather in the valley is perfect...unfortunately I've temporarily become un-retired and have been alternating between PA and Kissimmee Florida...and Florida in the summer (pardon my French) SUCKS...lol. Expect to be back in PA permanently by the end of October and then maybe some graving before the snow flies. Good hearing from you again.
