Bio and Links
The information that I use for my memorials comes from ancestry.com and FamilySearch.org. Unless a memorial that I create is for a family member, I would prefer that a copy of the death certificate not be attached. The information that I include in the birth, death, and bio sections comes directly from information provided in the death certificate, and the marriage information comes from FamilySearch.org. Sometimes the cause of death might be a sensitive issue for the family involved. If the memorial in question is for a family member, please send me a transfer request and I will be happy to transfer it.

My ancestors hail from Halifax and Edgecombe counties of North Carolina. My husband's family comes from Johnston County and part of Nash County, NC. I got interested in my ancestry several years ago when working with old family photographs. My sister had done some genealogy, and I decided to expand on it.

I would like to thank all of you who have taken the time to create memorials, including those for my family. I am a stickler for details, so please don't be offended if I ask for an edit. I, in turn, will be glad to make edits to any memorials that I create. Find A Grave is a great tool but is only as good as the accuracy of the memorials created.

James David Etheridge
James David Etheridge was my great grandfather. I see where you have him listed under Nahalah Presbyterian Cemetery. I'm curious as to why you show him in that cemetery when he was buried at Roseneath. The church has fallen down now and some of the grave markers are missing. I'm wondering he or at least the grave marker were moved to Nahalah. Thanks for any info that you can share.

I looked at what you sent me and there might be a way to find out for sure, but you will need to do some leg work.
Because Rose died in 2007, the monument company that put down her tombstone, may have done Tony's also. I would contact the funeral home that buried Rose and see what they can tell you.
Tony was originally buried in Cary - being a newborn, his body would have decomposed very quickly and depending on the type of casket used, it may have decomposed there also, if a vault was not used.
The cemetery in Cary should be able to tell you if Tony body was moved to Weldon because they would have to have a dis-interment record.
If you cannot find anything, to prove it one way or another, then I think I would link him at the Cary cemetery and make a notation on both memorials for him, that you do not know what cemetery his body remains today. I hope this helps. Margaret

Cindy,
Where are his parents buried? I hope in one of these two mentioned cemeteries!! This just drives me crazy when we have to deal with this kind of thing, but life happens ....
Depending on your answer I will let you know.
Thanks so much!!!
Margaret

Thanks so much Cindy. I appreciate the assistance as I'm not in State to differentiate between the 2 Cemetery locations. Blessings, Sandi :-)

I found Elizabeth...she is Virginia Elizabeth Savage. Married James Calvin Bass. I thought I linked her to her parents.
