Mary Jane Stanlake Allen
Thanks for the contact and the suggested edits. I hesitate to make your suggested changes because the information on the death certificate, provided by Mary Jane's daughter-in-law is inconsistent with the information Mary Jane provided for herself on her marriage license and on Census records over her lifetime. I believe her daughter-in-law was confused when responding. Also, the father's name and location during Mary Jane's childhood do not match Census records. It looks to me like some of Alfred's info was mixed in as if it was Mary Jane's (Sanilac County, for example). I'll take a further look at this when I'm home and will address the inconsistencies in Mary Jane's biography. Again, thanks!

Hi Barb,
Just wanted to let you know that the death cert you put on the site for Amanda Emma Altenbernt, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Manchester. actually belongs with Lillian Lucille Altenbernt, who is buried at Forest lawn Cemetery in Dexter. She has no headstone but I put her on Find A Grave yeas ago.

Thanks for your work on Find A Grave.

PS Did you go to St Andrews?
