|Thanks to so many of you who have left virtual tokens on gravesites of ones I love, especially my daughter, Teresa (Traci) Lynn Fields (buried St Mary Cemetery, Hamilton County, OH). Traci was 16 years old when she passed due to Leukemia. |
If you get a chance please view the following online tribute Traci's brother, Chuck, created for her for her birthday this year (2011).
Tribute Video 11/20/2011
Please leave a token for her if you can.
Many of you send me correction notices. It is my practice not to make any corrections unless I have personal knowledge of their validity. I will, however, transfer those memorials. I may not do that immediate
ly but I will transfer them as my time allows.
Please remember that findagrave contributors voluntarily submit info to this site so please be considerate in your comments/requests to them. Findagrave contributors should be respected for the work they do and have done on this site.
When duplicate entries are found, please check the dates of submission for each of these memorials. The oldest entry is the correct entry and not a duplicate, so be sure you send the "duplicate" message to the correct submitter.

|The Real McCoys||RE: Hatfields' & McCoys|
My husband is descended from William McCoy who was a brother of Randall who was the head of the McCoy clan at the time "Devil Anse" was head of the Hatfields. I would like to make a trip back to Pike County during the reunion sometime, but don't know if it will ever happen.

Hi Sharon, you beat me by minutes! I went into hospital on 9/27 and was admitted into sub acute rehab on 10/2. It has been a horrible few months but now I am in a great center getting 3hrs a day of OT PT. it's very hard work but for the first time In years I feel hopeful. They asked my goal my first day and I said,"to walk out the door unassisted." It will be a long road but I am blessed to have the opportunity and I'm up for the fight. I made a patrial round of visits today for the first time in months. Monday I have my first progress meeting. I'll keep you informed. Love, Allison

|Tommy Lee||RE: Cemetery relocation|
I'd be happy to send it to you if you provide your email.
My last name is Frederick. The "McClung" cemetery was also known as the Old O'Haver/Frederick cemetery or it was immediately adjacent to it (difficult to tell from the document). On the Indiana SHAARD site and the document it lists it as McClung but notes the family names are O'Haver and Frederick.
Supposedly, my GGGG grandfather and family were buried there as the property belonged to him (Andrew Frederick Sr). I also have that document from the 1830's. It is the exact same plat survey. The Frederick's., Purcell's and O'Haver's, (and possibly Bedwell's), intermarried and are all immediate neighbors on various census. I also have family ties to the Bogard's and Pesch's in the area. My grandfather (Robert), g-grandfather (Rayford), and gg-grandfather (Bert) are buried in the IOOF cemetery just down the road. My grandmother lives in Merom Station.
Apparently the Mt. Moriah cemetery is still somewhat active and maintained but there is zero contact info that I can find. I'd love to have an email address for whoever runs that cemetery.

I don't know where to begin on this (possibly) odd request. I noticed you are a contributor to the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Dugger. Perhaps you (or someone you know) can help me. There was a cemetery just down the road (O'Haver/Frederick/McClung) that had burials and stones relocated to this cemetery in 1992, at the request of Peabody Coal Co..
According to the court document I have, they agreed to reinter the bodies, relocate any found headstones and erect an additional marker commemorating the "McClung Cemetery" reinterment and containing the names of those reintered. Has anyone seen this? I wondering how well it was carried out and could use the information (and pictures if possible) as I am a direct descendant of many of the people buried in the original cemetery.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide!
May you be blessed for your kindness and the comfort provided in your visits to the sites of my loved ones. Blessings!
