I want to thank each of you for your thoughts
and prayers. Your kindness means a great deal
to me and my family.

I'm retired, doing genealogy work & enjoy helping on the website. I'm a proud Okie., born & raised in Oklahoma. I am of Cherokee decent, as my Great Grandfather and Grandfather signed the Dawes Rolls. I have been doing my 'Long' family tree for years and have found so many cousins online.
It has certainly been interesting and most enjoyable meeting and hearing from new distant family members. I have learned so much about
my ancestors and their lives down through the generations, I hope to perserve their memories for future generations to come. This is why I like working on the findagrave site, hoping to help others looking for their loved ones. I have found others to be very helpful and kind to share information.
My husband and I are enjoying our church, family & early retirement.
Aren't the Grands Fun?!!!
We have two beautiful granddaughters.
Madison, 10 and Gracie 8........

If I have made any mistakes, or
you would like to have your family
info added to their page, please contact
me and I'll be happy to add it for you.

Thank you...Phyllis

I want to also say thank you for taking the time to visit my loved ones memorial pages and leaving a note for them. God Bless You

A Special'Thank You'to 'God's Special Angel'

Linda's kindness will always be remembered, she is
truly God's Special Angel.

RE: Ray Long/Ballard Cemetery/Ok.
Dear Phyllis: You are very welcome. It sounds like you grew up in the same time era as I did. I really do long for those days when you could pull a sled behind a car. Those days are long gone. I live in the home that my Dad built and there are so many memories, but oh how our quiet little town has changed. Have a wonderful weekend.

William Hamilton Thomas
I only know that William was accidentally shot at the Walnut Grove Baptist Church. I don't have anymore details than that.

We've actually chatted before. I really appreciate all the work you have done on the Long family. Our Cherokee heritage has always been fascinating to me. I think Nancy and Sarah Emaline looked Cherokee but Sarah's daughter Mary Frances Mosher didn't look Indian at all. Mary Frances' son ( my grandfather) however again had very strong Indian features.

Nancy Long Thomas
Sarah Emaline Thomas, ( one of Nancy Long's daughters) gave it to her daughter, Mary Frances Mosher, whom in turn gave it to her son, Howard Dycus. I am a granddaughter of Howard Dycus and I inherited his family photos. By the way, the little girl in the photo is Christine Emaline Mosher ( a sister of my great grandmother Mary Frances Mosher Dycus).

I researched Richard Pugh #116942549 on and linked to his mom, Nellie. I was unable to locate what his middle name was though. I have updated his dob and his dod. Please let me know if this is indeed the Richard you are looking for.

RE: tombstone picture
Your welcome. The photo was taken by John Larimore. I have now given him the credit in the caption. I just adjusted the photo to make the inscription a bit more legible and then posted it.
