|Wolf||RE: Elizabeth Wolf Houtz|
Thank you for replying, Anita! I will look into getting the death certificate; the only person listed on her death listing at the courthouse, was her father, John. I am happy to hear that her mother was Sarah Hand-Wolf, of which we suspected, but did not have any proof. Too bad she and John Wendel did not have cemetery markers; noting that Jonathan & Rebecca did. (knowing the family to be lacking funds).
We travelled from Boston each year to do the Houtz genealogy (plus others) and miss doing this, as hubby does not drive distances.
If you know anything about Elizabeth (as a child or even after), I would be "all ears".
Thank you -Anne

|Wolf||Elizabeth Wolf Houtz|
Hi Anita-I am searching for a birth certificate for Elizabeth Wolf-Houtz, born 18, October, 1818 in Hegins, PA. I have her death date from the Pottsville Courthouse, with her father's name listed as John, but not her mother's. Also, in the church records, she is listed as daughter of------- and -------Wolf. I know you are not doing the Wolf/Houtz genealogy, but hoping you will help me with this one, as she doesn't seem to be listed in any Hand genealogies I have seen, and no one seems to have heard of my Elizabeth. John Wendel and Elizabeth Wolf-Houtz had Edward (my line),
Hannah, Wendell, Justina, Isaac, Leah & Persual.
I would love to hear from you.

|Barb Castelli||Anton Capello and Rosa Buffo|
This Anton and Rosa never lived in Buffalo NY. They cam straight from Salto Italy near Cuorgne' in the Piedmont, to Illinois, first to Braidwood, then to Ladd. Their daughter Rose was born on that date, but in Ladd, IL not Buffalo NY.
Also there was a different Anton Capello in Spring Valley, IL at the same time, married to Jessie Ross. These two Antons are not related.
My husband is the gr-grandson of Anton and Rosa Buffo Capello, and we have done extensive research on them, and I am sure of this information.

Good morning Anita! I am the 4th Great Grandson of Henry and Margaret Eckler by way of their daughter Ellen and her husband George Gibson. I was just wondering if you had any further information on this part of the Eckler's. I am stuck at George on the Gibson side as its my understanding he just kinda appeared and disappeared. No records anywhere that I can find and I know their son George W Gibson (my 2nd Great Grandfather) was raised by Henry and Margaret for a while and then one of Ellen's sisters until Ellen married Hiram Miller and then George W came back. Any info you could help with would be greatly appreciated.
|jcrow||Curran gravestones in Cedar Grove Cemetery|
The gravestones in Section D of Cedar grove Cemetery had a one time cleaning last summer in preparation for photographing for the cemetery's permanent records. Last fall, I photographed the gravestones in section D, and now am in the process of creating memorials for those who didn't already have memorials. The photos taken of the cleaned Curran gravestones are crisper, more legible, than the ones now posted on their memorials. I would just send them to you to decide whether to use them, but this message box doesn't allow for adding photos. Let me know if you would like for me to add the photos to the memorials at least long enough for you to review, or better, let me know how to send the photos to you.

|cyndi yoder||Henry Eckler|
My Name is Steve Yoder and am the 6X GGrandson of Johann (John) Bonawitz. I live in Pine Grove, PA and am doing research on the family. Henry was an apprentice to John in the Gunmaking trade in Pine Grove. I belong to the Pine Grove Area Historical Society and the Societies Headquarters is also John's home purchased by him in 1809. I would enjoy corresponding with you to exchange information. Thanks for taking the time to read my message.
I have another Levi that I have as Levi E. Leffler (Find A Grave#81622548) who is also from Pine Grove, but buried at St. Johns Lutheran. His dates are 06 Oct 1888 - 08 Nov 1902, age 14 yrs, 1 m and 2 d. I don't have further information on how he died. Is it possible that the two Levis are confused-Note the death date is the same. I should note that I found this Levi E first on the 1900 census with his family. He is a first cousin twice remover from the Levi Edward you have. Gives me something to investigate further.
I was very happy to see the post from Melinda Roberts about the Dousmans as I am their great-great-great granddaughter. I had sent an email to you in August 2014 and you sent a reply but I lost it in the ether somewhere. I have some info about their daughter, Marie (Mary Ann) and David LeFevre and their children but not a whole lot. Thanks to all researchers as their clues are so welcome to us looking for our roots!
