Bio and Links
Bio Photo Genealogy Librarian by profession. It is a goal of mine to have a Findagrave site for each of my relatives. I'm hooked! I've loved cemeteries since I was a child and lead tours each year of our city cemetery. If there is any information you would like to add to any of the memorials I have done, just let me know! I want the memorials to be as complete as possible, so the more information, the better the memorial! Each one I put up is a person who lived, breathed and died. I want to honor their existance. If the memorial is within Findagrave transfer guidelines, I would be happy to transfer. I am currently documenting the burials of Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in LaSalle Parish, LA. All of those Smith and Edwards people are my family!

Hamilton L. Bailey #160077536
Hi Lora---I am so happy to see edits that link together families. Good work. I can see that you are spending much time documenting your family tree and doing such a good job. If you are interested, you can request an obit for H.L. Bailey from the Corpus Christi Public Library (no charge). They will email the copy to you. Look up CCPL, then go to Local History, then the obit index. I would do this for you, but they only allow two per month and I have used up my requests for Sept. Bye for now, Peggy

obit of Della Cavanah-94467863
I think you are correct in your assumption that this is Mrs. Cavanah gravesite. I found a reference to her in the 27 Jul 1950 Princeton Leader (KY) under the byline: News Happenings at Eddy Creek--Mr. Hoy Sisk, Travis Sisk, Mrs. Clarence Sisk and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Sisk attended the funeral of Mrs. Della Cavanah of Monroe, La. Mrs. Cavanah was the sister of Mr. Clarence Sisk of Princeton.

The family of Mattie Thompson Lewis
Lora, I believe that Martha Thompson married to Hezekiah Thompson and moved to Union County, Arkansas from Wilcox County Alabama if Mattie's mother. I have been emailing a member of the family of Martha and Hezekiah and we have been looking for the children of Mattie's brother, James E. Thompson and Sarah Ann Arnold.

I do have information of the maiden name of Martha and that is how I found this family in Arkansas. Please get back with me if you have information on the James. E. Thompson family.

We are actually looking for Fannie Emily Thompson Jinks. We can not find her in any census until she is grown.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Hello Lora,
Thank you for making a memorial page for my Great-Grandmother. I have been doing a lot of work on this family line of mine. I added a copy of her obituary that I found recently. I also have an old family Bible that belonged to her son Lea's mother-in-law and then passed to his wife Mollie, to my Dad, to me. It lists "Mrs. M. W. Breithaupt died March 12, 1906". This is the same date of her death in the obit. If you could change the date you have listed to match this date I would be grateful. I read your description of her situation as a child. I cannot answer if she was related to the family she was with in 1850, but I have found the record that she was basically an orphan, a ward of the state of Louisiana until 1858. Sad. Thanks again for making her page. Sincerely, Claire Breithaupt-Bennett

RE: Monroe City Cemetery
Thanks for the heads up Lora I'll keep that in mind. So far I don't have any duplicates, but I'll keep looking.

RE: Ed Smith
You should see the parent links now. Would you like to post the obituary on the page? Also, should we put Ed as a nickname and Everett as the first name?
