|Bio and Links|
I grew up in the Coal River area (Dry Creek). Although I left the Coal River area in 1979, I will always remember Dry Creek as "My Home". My family ancestors are linked to Bradfords, Burnsides, Jarrells, Ballards, Dickens, Workmans, Evans, Abbotts, and Pettrys to name a few. My family cemetary is the Ballard Family cemetary at Dry Creek WV. The cemetaries that I mainly will be working on are in the Dry Creek, Horse Creek, Rock Creek, Cove Creek, and Naoma areas. My goal is to find my ancestors and enter their name in the cemetaries where they are buried and photograph their markers for future generations. I also photograph other markers in the cemetary if by chance someone might recognize a family member. I strive for quality documentation and not quantity of markers. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about any of the memorials that I have entered. If you want, I will gladly sign over to you any interment that I entered into any cemetary providing it is not father/mother, grandfather, grandmother and up the line. I feel its important that our ancestors be remembered and memorials be made for future generations. I think it's nice that a family member take care of their loved ones memorial rather than a total stranger. I don't like guess work. I go into the field (cemetaries) and document the markers and if I have my digital camera with me, I photograph them. Its nice to sit at a computer desk and read ancestor.com, rootsweb.com and other computer sites, to get information, but there is nothing like getting out in the field, walking in the woods, battling briars, snakes and other wild animals and climbing the mountains looking for our ancestors markers. Alot of times those computer ancestory sites may have wrong information. I go to cemetaries every weekend (weather permitting) and document and photograph. I think that is how a reputable researcher or geneologist should perform their work providing that they are not physically challenged. I enjoy geneology but fortunately I have a job and a life as well that take up my time and infringe on my visiting the cemetaries. Most of the cemetaries I have visited are deep in the woods, on mountain tops and covered with briars and weeds. Those old cemetaries can be hard to find which can be challenging work and many times you have to walk through people's yards to get to them which can be a nuisance. Alot of times you may find multiple cemetaries with the same name. I often wonder how difficult it was to live in some of the places our ancestors lived. Its definitely a by gone era.|

Actually I did enter a memorial for his wife, as C. Merle Burnside. I have now linked them. Would you like to take management for her?

You are very welcome! I also photographed their son (who was right next to them). I'm so glad I could help! Trying to get requests done because this time of year it's hard to get out to take pictures...weather is so crummy! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

Thank you for the info--I have linked them. I am unrelated, but always try to determine the links for memorials I enter. I suspect that Rozella Power's husband is in the same cemetery she is in, but have no proof at this point, so have not entered a memorial for him. I will save the link you sent, also, for future use. Thank you very much!

Hi and thanks! From what I understand her husband died in 1918 in Fayette County. I can't find out where he was buried. His parents are buried in Clay County. I am thinking he is not buried with Rosa. I don't have any family buried in WV, but thanks for the offer!

Hi Robin, I took care of it and added her Obituary as well that details her families information.
Thanks for everything, and let me know when I can help.

This might help. Go to the other entry and copy and paste the obit. After pasting the obit clean up what you posted that is already in the obit. Only leave the other info that is important to those who might be looking for him one day. Or send a message to find a grave and ask them to transfer it back to the originator who sent it to you. After you have posted the obit on it. I posted a photo on both entries.
