Bio Photo I joined FAG in March 2011 after finding this site while researching my ancestry. I retired on May 1, 2012 and look forward to spending more time researching. I enjoy helping others in their quest. Please feel free to use my photos; I have posted them for the benefit of others.

I'm very happy to make corrections to the memorials I have created or transfer them to relatives. Please use the "Edit" tab to make suggested additions, corrections or request transfers. If I'm unable to contact you via e-mail or Public Message for any follow-up questions, I reserve the right to not make your suggested changes.

With the help of other volunteers, we've completed cataloging and photographing the original section (letter blocks) of Mountain View cemetery and the section of Mountain View (Block 1) that was originally St. Joseph's Cemetery. We're currently working on Roselawn Cemetery and have completed blocks 23-28.

I live in Pueblo, Colorado, but was born and raised in Wisconsin. I have research interest in the Whitney, Kelsey, Robersen, Mills and Stafford families.

Thank you for taking the time to get the headstone photos for Joseph and Ruth Nottingham. The quality is excellent.

Thanks for the corrected plot, Brad! I was just out taking pictures, and was lost, if you want to know the truth. Not my cemetery.

Hi Brad,
Will have to pull the obit out on this one as age is not the same and the PC Obit it as the cemetery record under Mary. Will probably get a chance to look tomorrow and will let you know what I find out there is no Mention of a Concetta on the cemetery database.
Thanks
Vaughan

Hi Brad,

I want to thank you for all the work you have done contributing to Find A Grave.

I am surprised, though, that you think census and obituary info belongs only in family trees. I do agree that that info should be there, but I think it is also good to have it both places.

There are some people who can't afford Ancestry.com, although it is available at most libraries for free. And I am all about keeping genealogy free or at least low cost.

I will try to respect your wishes and not send on obituary and census info to the memorials you manage. But please forgive me if I make a mistake and send that info on - just don't add it - if you think it is inappropriate.

I usually don't check who the manager of the memorial is before I send the info on, so I might mistakenly send additional info to you.

I hope to "soon" be finished in Colorado for a time, so I probably won't be running into this issue with you too much anymore. However, I'll be taking a long break from genealogy soon, as I am going on vacation in about a week.

I do have several more Pueblo obits to process and enter, and so I may make a mistake and sent them on to your memorials. I won't be able to finish all of them before I leave - I was just doing a few tonight. So this might happen in a couple of months again.

I also like to "link" family members on Find A Grave, as I think this is helpful to other people. The obituaries clearly show the relationships.

For various reasons, I do not intend to have a public family tree, at this time (or at any time). I may change my mind later, but right now I don't. I was merely trying to share my info, but since most of the Colorado individuals are distantly connected to me, I don't have a problem with your decision not to post any additional info. I think if they were closer related to me though, I would. I probably would request a transfer of the memorial. Which you may or may not grant.

Anyway, thanks for all your work. I never would have found one of the two Colorado people I am really interested in - Mabel (Ledwith) Russell - without your work. In fact, if you had never transferred Mabel (Ledwith) Russell to me, I never would have become a Find A Grave contributor!!! She was the first memorial I managed (much to my surprise) after you transferred her to me. Although I had used/discovered Find A Grave several years ago. So, I guess, in many way, all my contributions are due to YOU!!! But I will continue to add whatever info I think is genealogically relevant (i.e., census, obits, etc.) If it is to one of your memorials, just don't add.

I hope you are not offended by this.

Oh, and regarding the obits, I thought by publishing them on Find A Grave I would in as sense be paying back the Pueblo Public library for ALL the Pueblo obits they have sent me, so that they won't get asked to pull those obits again. I am very fond of the Pueblo Public Library and Tabitha Davis for ALL the obits she and the volunteers have provided me. I thought by posting them, I was sort of repaying them. I have to type them all up you know, because they do not come in jpg format (to upload), only pdf.

Anyway, if this is a serious problem for everyone, I am more than happy to stop being a Find A Grave contributor, or making changes or corrections or additions. It is really way too time consuming. And I am sure Tabitha Davis and her volunteers would be happy too!!!

Roselawn & Mountain View
I just wanted to thank you for your work here at find-a-grave. So many of my husband's relatives are buried at Roselawn, and also a few at Mountain View. May I have your permission to use your photos on my family tree? Thank you. Becky in Missouri.
