RE: Ola
She was two spaces down from Vara. We had beautiful 68 degrees weather yesterday. Perfect day to go take pictures. I took several others here and there. Gave the cemetery guy several updates for his records.

RE: Alice Cade Davis
I found Alice and James without too much trouble. I even found Lucy Gore which was the other old photo request. I went back to Lucy's death certificate to find out who the informant was. Lynn Blewett - and I found him in Dreamland also. Someone added his location, so I figured since Lucy was his grandmother, she would probably be buried close by. For sure - as was her daughter and granddaughter. Thank you for helping me with Alice. I will talk to the man at the cemetery and give him all the info I have so he can update his records. Woo hoo!

RE: Alice Cade Davis
I know it is against the rules to use a photo from another website, so I will go out there myself and get one. Plus, I have to be 100% sure. And this fits right into my inquisitive nature of trying to figure things out. LOL

RE: Alice Cade Davis
Pat! You found them. That is the map of Dreamland Cemetery. I need to go back and find that and help with getting their records added. I tell ya. It is a very old cemetery and how they created it the way they did is still confusing. Thank you!

RE: Alice Cade Davis
Pat, I believe there is a little confusion here. For Alice Cade Davis, her death certificate shows she was the widow of James Madison Griffith Davis. On both their death certificates, it shows they were buried in Canyon, Texas. In 1920 and 1936, the only cemetery in Canyon was Dreamland Cemetery. It still is the only cemetery and it is just outside Canyon. The nearest one to that would be Memory Gardens of Amarillo, but it was not established until 1952. I was the second person who tried to find Alice and James. Margarita Simmons tried in March of this year. This cemetery is very old. 1891 It has a rather strange layout, and the very old records are rather difficult to find some folks unless you have more information. Back then the listing was usually in the husbandís or purchaserís name and it could have been only initials. Another problem is that there may have been several graves side-by-side and a headstone for one person. Who knows why they did it like that back then. I think we have exhausted our resources, so if you donít need the gravestone photos for Alice or James Davis any longer, would you mind cancelling your requests. Sorry we couldnít find them. SherB

Glenn Hatch
I claimed your photo request for Glenn Hatch at Greenwood cemetery in York. I wanted to let you know that the cemetery has no record of that person buried there. There is a Helen Hatch, and an infant Hatch. Sorry I couldn't find him.
